About Arena Stage - Kreeger Theater
The Kreeger Theater at the Arena Stage’s Mead Center for American Theater includes state-of-the-art technology and amenities, extraordinary flexibility, excellent acoustics and flawless sightlines, allowing for remarkably intimate interaction between actor and audience. After a decade of planning, design and construction, Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater reopened October 25, 2010. The new building, designed by Bing Thom Architects, re-imagines this legendary theater and creates a cultural destination in southwest Washington. The center features a centralized lobby with a vastly increased number of restrooms, readily available concessions and an onsite cafe, a reading area dedicated to students of American theater, easy access to all areas of the building for people with disabilities, and a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the Potomac with the Washington Monument in the background.Read MoreRead Less

Parked on the street at one of the DC meters (honestly, could they possibly have more consistent kinds of meters, times, payment methods, etc.). After getting a parking ticket the last time I used my iPhone App to pay (forgot to put in my boyfriend's license plate rather than mine which is the default), was careful to use his this time. But, $7.20 for an on-street parking space after 6:30 pm, give me a break. D.C., don't you want people braving the traffic to come into town and patronize evening entertainment, restaurants, etc.? Guess they just don't care.Maurice Hines Is Tappin' Thru Life travel • Nov 20 2013 star this tip starred
