parking in the Kennedy Center is $20 (or $22), parking under the Watergate, VA Ave. is $12. Then walk across the street to enter Kennedy Center.

We often eat at the Kennedy Center cafe before the show. Good food, reasonably priced.

KenCen has free shuttle buses to Foggy Bottom, but on the night I went, *none* were waiting after the show and there was a long line for them. The line for taxis was even longer, and there weren't taxis lined up for people. I would think taxi companies would know when the shows let out and would send cabs there to pick up easy fares.

The Kennedy Center is a great venue. However, parking is expensive--$22--but enclosed, so inclement weather isn't an issue. And, if you are not familiar with that area, signage to the Kennedy Center is horrible. Don't miss the beginning of the show because you are driving around trying to find the one street that takes you there!

If you're dining at the KC Cafe, get there early; the tables fill-up fast. Also, if you're 2 people at a 4-top perhaps be willing to share with that person you see scanning desperately for an open table.
