Star actor Johnny Depp and his business partner Anthony Fox launched the Viper Room in West Hollywood in 1993, turning the former site of the Melody Room, an infamous jazz dive bar and stomping grounds for gangster Bugsy Malone and Mickey Cohen in the 1950s, into a celebrity-packed sensation overnight.
As a live music venue, the Viper Room remains one of LA's finest, with top bands performing... Moreg nightly and star acts such as the Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Tom Petty, Iggy Pop stopping by for the occasional surprise appearance. DJ sets and dancing are also featured every weekend in the Viper Room's upstairs main room.
As is the nature of nightclubs, line-ups at the door can occur and seating can be limited.

From North of Los Angeles: Take the 405, 101 or 5 freeway South. The 170 connects to the 101. The 2 and 134 freeways connect to the 5. From the 5 freeway, connect to the 101. Exit at Sunset Boulevard and head West to 8852 Sunset. From the 405, Exit at Sunset Boulevard and head East to 8852 Sunset.
From south of Los Angeles: Take the 5 or 405 freeway North (the 165, 110, 170, 57, 91 and 22 freeways all connect to the 5 & 405). From The 5 freeway, connect to the 101 North, exit at Sunset Boulevard and head West to 8852 Sunset. From the 405, Exit at Sunset Boulevard and head East to 8852 Sunset
From East of Los Angeles: Take the 2 or 10 freeway West to the 101 toward Hollywood. Exit at Sunset Boulevard and head West to 8852 Sunset.
