attended Journey Tribute Lights and Queen Tribute Band Queen Nation on Jun 14 2008

Lights is a fantastic tribute to the sound and energy of classic Journey and Steve Perry. Don't expect wigs or costumes, but take a look around when the singer begins to belt out a ballad and wach the draws drop. These guys obviously love the...continued

The Wayward Sons put on another fun show at the Coach House. As always, they were entertaining and engaging. The openers Ghost Rider and Groove Kitty were very good cover bands. I had a great night thanks to their talents and Goldstar :-)

I only stayed to see the opening band, Born Jovi. They were good. My only complaint was against The Grove, who were charging twice as much for parking that night as the discounted Goldstar ticket price.

Interesting show. I liked the premise. I found the performance frustrating because the singers did a poor job of enunciating, and lyrics that I'm sure were entertaining could not be understood.

Loved the last song, "Moozie".

attended Kathleen Battle’s Underground Railroad: A Spiritual Journey on Sep 09 2016

Kathleen Battle has the voice of an angel and the poise of a leader. She sang familiar and, to me, unfamiliar spirituals. Many were accompanied by a large choir. Between songs, quotes were read about the slavery experience by a narrator. An...continued

A remarkably frank and genuine autobiography of Barbara Minkus, beautifully performed by her. Her experiences will resonate with every woman. She sprinkles her show with standard songs wonderfully performed. I love her song phrasings. Leave your...continued

attended The Broadway Concert: A Romantic Journey on Apr 09 2005

I recommend it! We attended last year, and eagerly looked forward to this year's event. It was excellent; first rate! The symphony, as always, was wonderful. The singers were inspiring.
Some problems: The singers 'sang against' each other,...continued

It is not a good thing for me to say the P. Glass piece that started the concert was best at 10 minutes nor to say that the Shankar concerto that ended it is a very rarely heard novelty piece for the best of reasons...it's tedious. Why Beethoven's...continued

Great event, fun day in Laguna. Hershey Felder is a National Treasure (OK, maybe a North American treasure,...on loan to us) I look forward to seeing him again and again. So glad I was able to attend this production.

The Barbara Mingus show was great. I loved it, and it was my second time at the show last Sunday. I could go to see it again. I got to meet her after the show was over, and got my picture taken with her!!

Reminded me more of Lawrence Welk than the Fillmore. But Dionne Figgins' version of Nowhere to Run was an eye opener.

The three of us simply loved this show. It did not even need the nuances of a "play." The straight out singing of this wonderful performer would have been enough. If you close your eyes, you would swear it was Sinatra. He captured his phrasing and...continued

this was a concert within the thinnest framework of a plot but it was a very good show with a terrific vocalist and great band.
