The stars are only for Act 2. Saw the entire show a week prior and enjoyed it but Act 1 is something to be endured, not enjoyed. Characters are not likable, score is all over the place, as is the book.
The two acts were written about a decade...continued

A wonderful production!! We saw the understudy for Kim, I would not have realized it if I had not read the lobby board as I was leaving. She as all the cast was wonderful.

A great musical for a Summer Family Fun outing. If you do not bring a kid then watch one near you and enjoy the real magic of the theater thru their reactions. A wonderful cast gives you an full evening of music dancing and fun.

I am in love with these shows with limited production values ( sets, costumes and other production, but quality singers and actors). Once again The Kennedy Center has given us a production that shows no sign of these limits. As someone who...continued

If/when you get a chance, see this! It's wonderful in every respect - choreography, music, execution by the dancers, and the staging is fabulous. We left feeling so uplifted.

The most beautiful opera, beautifully presented. Subtle.and poetic. Gorgeous Tchaikovsky music. Uniformly outstanding voices. Do not miss the opportunity to see this enchanting and moving performance!

Good performance (esp the chorus) - Conductor had the piece played quite quickly - fast tempos

Seats were row H and off to the side
Would have preferred something back and more to the center

Really enjoyed the young cast and the excellent talent and skill. Very uplifting. The music was grand and the venue, as usual was a treat. It didn't turn me into an opera fan but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Simple story, spirited dancing with a full orchestra! And did I mention the local dancers from Wash School of Ballet who contributed wholeheartedly to the program. Admire the costumes, my favs the harlequin & the peacock chorus. Go now!
