Lita Ford

Guitar hero — make that guitar heroine — Lita Ford earned her rock cred as one of the original members of The Runaways. The famed all-female punk band not only scored a hit song with “Cherry Bomb,” but it launched the career of Joan Jett and earned its own 2010 indie movie bio starring Kristen Stewart. But Ford would go on to become known as the Mistress of Metal (aided by her manager Sharon Osborne), coming out with the hard-rock hits “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever,” a duet with Ozzy. She’s continued her relentless shredding both as a solo artist and touring with Queensryche, and released her latest album, “Time Capsule” in 2016.
