Reviews of Marion Meadows
Marion Meadows owes much of his success to luck — and Grand Central Station. After a degree from Berklee College of Music, stints with various R&B and jazz ensembles and a collaboration with drummer Norman Connors, Meadows found himself waiting for a train at the station. While he waited, he pulled out his soprano saxophone and began playing. The sound caught the ear of fellow commuter, producer and TV composer Jay Chattaway, who was so impressed he connected Meadows with legendary keyboardist Bob James. The rest, is history. Meadows has recorded more than 10 albums and performed with everyone from Eartha Kitt to The Temptations and Michael Bolton.
