attended Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral” and World Premiere on May 17 2008

Again, the L.A. Chamber Orchestra put on an excellent concert. The premier of the Puts Piano Concerto was interesting although not a piece of music I would be interested in hearing again. On the other hand the Beethoven 6th Symphony was very, very...continued

I liked how a fairy tale used so many classical musical selections, with a whole lot of humor for good measure. It was a pleasure to hear & see all of the hard work that went into this musical.

I have been a long time fan of the great vocal talents of Ms.McGovern and have always enjoyed her song list versatility and great arrangements. However, this performance focused on music of an era that does not appeal to me and the original songs...continued

unusual innovative music, outstanding musicians.A chance to hear musicians of this level, from varied cultures, playing together is rare. If this event is repeated, we would highly recommend it.

Excellent performance. Superbly told and beautifully presented with a blend of piano and story telling. Very wonderful story under a difficult and moving era.

Rufus was wonderful. Love his sense of humor. The second sonnet in the song cycle was super. I love how beautiful were the melodies in all of sonnets in the music he composed for.

attended The Seasons Project: Vivaldi and Philip Glass in a Bay Area Premiere on Nov 02 2010

Wow! Better than expected. I had never seen Vivaldi 4 Seasons played live and it was a revelation. I couldn't hear the Lute before and the way the sound moved left to right, right to left like the wind and shimmered. Robert McDuffie was in a...continued

We had a great time at this two-day music festival & street fair in Silver Lake (LA). There could have been more vendor booths and we would've appreciated food trucks that were more vegan-friendly (next time, the producers of the event should get...continued

Great talk be4 show, Sam Adam's thing not so great, tho! Sounded like the violin was in pain and left out in the rain and the rest of the symphony players would not help! A relief when they joined in. Hey, Sam, be happier! Stop whining! The rest...continued
