Reviews of Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare

Fans of Drunk History and all its slurred education will fall over laughing at Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare, which combines an entirely serious Shakespeare play with an entirely inebriated cast member. For the last six years, Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare has been performed in the darkest corners and diviest bars in the U.K. Side-splitting, raucous and completely interactive, cast members will drink beer, wine and whiskey on stage, drunkenly sing the Dawson’s Creek theme song and occasionally (accidentally, of course) bare a nipple or two.

It's an amusing concept implemented pretty well. The abbreviated version of the play was a bit disappointing, because A Midsummer's Night Dream is such a hilarious show in its own right. Some of the "drunk" moments felt as if they were prepared in...continued

It was OK. I was expecting it to be better than it was. I never saw so many audience members have to get up during a 1 hour show to have to use the restrooms.

It was a fun show. The drunken character was playing for laughs, which didn't convince me he was really drunk, but it was entertaining. The other cast members really carried it well too. With a running time of just over an hour, it's the nicest...continued

Hysterical. One of the actors was completely shit faced, and got worse as the show went along. The other actors tried not to laugh or smile - but truly it was cute. Although we wondered if the actor was -really- drunk, or if he was completely...continued

Get there early for a better seat selection, grab 2 drinks on the way in, and hit the bathroom beforehand cuz there's no intermission. Be sure to dress comfy cuz the seats are kinda tight. The show runs a little over an hour.
In sum, a 5 person...continued

Hilarious! Not quite as fun as the Shit-Faced Shakespeare performance of Midsummer Night's Dream, but still a great show.

this was an interesting and different show. shakespearen english was hard to follow though and i felt it only picked up the pace and the comedy in the latter half.

Great show! The cast knew their parts and was worked well with the unpredictability of a drunk cast member! I was dying of laughter.

Super fun, the cast looked they were having a ball, especially the drunk actor. Go check it out at least once. Oh, it I can say from personal experience, it's even more fun if you're a little drunk yourself (or a lot).

Hilarious. But be careful in the front row as things tend to spill or flies towards the audience

Good show & we had great seats up front. Recommend to do the Parked valet parking for only $20.00 at hotel garage & it is validated by theater so it isn't bad.

Would highly recommend. We had dinner at Red Bones then headed over to the theatre and got great seats (front row center). The performance was hilarious, enhanced by the booze that we consumed before and during the show. Warning: The drinks at...continued
