As usual, the Orange County Shakespeare festival was very good. The weather was beautiful, and the scenery is minimalist, but true to the original spirit. Some of the actors were excellent, including the Prince and Capulet (Juliet's dad), and...continued

Two friends and I went - very nice facility and staff, great price, and terrific acting! There was a lot of swordfighting and brawling; very realistic and scary.

As mentioned in today's LA Times article (8/13), the female lead was a little...continued

Its a gem! This was my second play at this venue and I'll be coming back for more productions. Bring a blanket if its chilly and eat dinner before the show.

This production of Romeo & Juliet was very enjoyable and definitely awoke my interest for Shakespeare once more! Would love to see them do "MacBeth", "Midsummer Night's Dream" or "Two Gentlemen of Verona" at this venue =).

We had wonderful seats, although the house was not full. Not sure if that would have been so if it had been a sold out performance. Nonetheless the play itself was very good. Great evening for a good price.

Another great evening in Garden Grove... I can only encourage everyone in OC to pack a picnic, drive past the big expensive venues in South Coast and enjoy this wonderful venue. Great show... great acting... cool evening!

I cannot recommend Shakespeare of OC highly enough. The venue is lovely (under the stars and locally in Garden Grove), the productions are always of high quality, and the cost is reasonable. This Romeo & Juliet has a wonderful Nurse, an engaging...continued

Really enjoyed it! The highlight of this production was the cast--they put heart and soul into their performances and it made the show fun and engaging. Sets, lighting, costumes were simple, but well executed. And I've never been to this little...continued

We had a very good time at the Festivzal Amphitheater's production of "Romeo and Juliet". We enjoyed a lovely picnic on the festival grounds. The silly pre-theatre event of the war between Persia and Greece (Sparta) was fun. And the production...continued

Superb acting, wonderful venue of a very unique outdoor theater under the stars, an amusing pre-show event with Shakespearean actors performing their own skits, and a close proximity to lovely downtown Garden Grove--all of these qualities came...continued

A little uneven. Some performances were OUTSTANDING and others not so much. We did have a good time, however. I would go again without hesitation.

This was a wonderful event, we really liked the venue too. The acting was awesome and each actor put their entire heart in to every scene! The acting is what brings this story alive again, even though we know the ending......

We were very impressed with the actors and there abilities in speaking very well in the Shakesearian matter. The seats were great; we could hear and see everything. The threater was personal and open. We would recommend.
