33 Variations: Compelling Drama of One Woman's Discovery of Beethoven Reviews & Ratings
I am a pianist, but no Beethoven. However I enjoyed the premis, with the present dilemma contrasting very well with the time and sickness of Beethoven.
DC's Diane Walsh was a supurb pianist in interpretating the haunting variations.report as inappropriate
Congratulations to Arena Stage for premiering this marvelous, moving play. I see no reason why it could not be eminently successful on Broadway. In addition to the superbly sensitive work of the actors, the piano playing of Diane Walsh is nonpareil.report as inappropriate
This is a fascinating play and a first-class production. I'm thinking about going back and seeing it again.report as inappropriate

It was a wonderful, well acted and thought provoking play. It was also a great venue, with parking right there, which was convenient. I recommend everyone see it!report as inappropriate
The live music really enhanced the whole experience. I went with my 16 year old son who's a musician. We both thoroughly enjoyed it! He of course did not mind the occasional nudity either!report as inappropriate
Though it started a little slow, by mid-way through the first act I was completely engrossed by the mystery of Beethoven's 33 variations and the lead's own person stuggle and mystery. A great new work by Moises Kaufman that will leave you thinking.report as inappropriate

THIS IS THE BEST SHOW I HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME.
MY ATTENTION DID NOT WAIVER FOR AN INSTANT. I SAY,
RUN, DO NOT WALK, AND GET TICKETS!
Different, creative, and well-acted.report as inappropriate
One of the highlights for me was the open discussion with the author/director afterwards! That was a real treat.report as inappropriate
It was fascinating to be able to participate in the creative process.report as inappropriate
