Good acting, interesting story, some conversation tidbits were lost due to either poor or soft enunciation, or even bad mike placement. The musical interludes were fantastic.

Good acting, great costumes, great staging. But the plot was too predictable, nothing new or exciting there.

We enjoyed the performance, however we could not clearly hear all that was said by each actor/or actress. Yes, we were entertained and would return to this particular location due to the wonderful theatre atmosphere.

I liked the play and the music but the sound in the balcony was not really clear and I had to strain to make out the words. Too bad

The play was entertaining, but predictable. There was supposed to be a jazz party beforehand and a discussion afterward. Neither took place, so if you go, don't plan on either of these. We had the best seats I have ever had using Goldstar.

Interesting story..well presentedbut the dialgue was difficult to understand both because I could not hear(not loud enough) and the dialect was unfamiliar to my ear.

An well crafted, entertaining play that is well written and superbly performed. I would highly recommend it.

I liked it, but didn't love it. I didn't believe the love story which was so central to the story and the results. Acting was really good otherwise. Loved the music!

This was my first time at Steppenwolf and I totally enjoyed the venue. The principle characters were really well played and believable, especially Mr. Carter. I loved the Pee Wee character as well.

This is the fourth show I've been to at Steppenwolf and was by far the worst. We actually left at intermission, because the first half was so slow-moving and boring. The lead actress gave a very amateur performance. The lead actor did a good...continued

Good play, the stand outs were pee wee and marilyn. Unis was not up to par with the rest of the cast! But still made for a great play.

I enjoyed the jazzy score and 1930's costumes Except (and I am in no way a theater snob) I found it distracting how the acting and singing skills of the main female character, Eunice, paled in comparison to the others. But maybe it was just an off...continued
