I was looking forward to this play, and wasn't disappointed. The first act was much more enjoyable than the first but it was very funny and true to Chicago.

My sister purchased the tickets as I am visiting from London, UK. The name of the show sounded good fun. I hadn't come across the writer before and didn't really know what to expect. I was amazed at how brilliant Tracy Letts writing was and...continued

Was almost not able to go, but pulled some strings and I'm so glad I was able to make it. One of the most enjoyable, engrossing, insightful plays I've seen. Tracy Letts is amazing, as is the cast, the direction. I'd like to see Superior Donuts...continued

Stops just short of being great, because the end of the second act gets sloppy, fight scene too long, several issues mentioned earlier but not resolved.

Lots of laughs though and a great first act. Well-written, but the end needs fixing or it...continued

The big fight scene was lame! But other than that, it was a superb performance. A very well-written play, beautiful scene design, and top-notch acting! Not to be missed!!

Witty and well performed. Slow at times and dips in sound quality. Overall, a good play to see.

Still in progress, I think. Too much direct discourse. Information that is needed, but needs to be presented through conversation more. Great characters and very funny, while being about serious things.

Well worth seeing, if only for the first act and the terrific cast.

though the sound system in the theater in the upper reaches is challenging, the play was delightful and should not be compared to other plays!

The acting was excellent. Overall, it was a very good production. The fight scene went on a bit too long, and some of the dialogue was affected, and it went from a sort of comedy in the first act to quite a downer in the second. But I'd still...continued

The entire cast was excellent and it was great to see Michael McKean perform in person as I've been a fan of his for years. My friend and I both thought, however, that the story led to a predictable, ho-hum ending which disappointed both of us.

The first act was outstanding and then in the second act the play just fell apart.

The play is three stars, great dialog and very good acting, one weak scene on the second act did not take much from the whole experience.
We were giving seats by the wall, the ones for handicap companions. Not very comfortable, but the leg space...continued

It almost seems unfair to comment on the playwright's work which follows his Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award...but this play was Superior! Someone from outside Chicago might not catch all the references, but they're wonderful for the locals. And...continued
