The fourteen young adults who acted in this show (sometimes several parts each) were very talented. I loved the music, voices, and entertaining script.

The two leads who played Huck and Jim were absolutely outstanding. You might want to warn people that the "N" word is used freely in this production as much of the text comes from the Mark Twain novel.

Good music and acting but unnecessarily long--almost three hours, either for oldsters (us) or our grandchildren 8 and 10.

It was a lovely afternoon. We ate at the Olney Ale House which was excellent. The staging of the play was a bit confusing with what I suppose were members of the chorus wandering on and off stage at random. But the voices were good. Jim was...continued

8/2/08 My husband and I loved the acting and the music but felt that the show was about a 1/2 hr. too long. Our 2 granddaughters, ages 8 & 10, seemed to enjoy it reasonably well but it was probably too sophisticated for them to really discuss...continued

Wonderful music. They really can sing. The play was a little long and dragged in places. But cute and worth going. We took friends and we all agree.

The music and singing was excellent. Thought the show was a little too long. I've seen other Big River performances several times in the past. To me, this one dragged in the second act.

Olney Theatre is a a great, comfortable venue. The production was very well done, especially liked the sets and the lighting. Actors were great.

Lively, upbeat family entertainment. Funny toe-tapping rythmic musical but no real show-stoppers that you will remember when you leave the show. Sam Ludwig was outstanding as Huck Finn.

Very professionally done. Acting was superb and one, David Finkelberger, Jr.'s performance as Huck Finn's Dad is alone worth the price of admission. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys musical theater. The intimacy and style of the playhouse...continued

Really 2 1/2 stars, but that wasn't a choice. Good cast, especially the actor playing Jim. Kudos also to Huck. Good staging. The show is perhaps one song and 15 minutes too long.
