I was under the impression this was a musical, which by definition is a play in which the story line is interspersed with songs. What I saw instead was a concert. There was song after song, with a few sentences thrown in between. Before you give me...continued

I've seen this show about 7 times and it's always AMAZING!!!!! It seems like no matter what cast they get this is a fantastic show. This Jerry Lee Lewis is just as awesome as the initial one who went to Broadway (where I saw it too).

So much fun. 2 understudies performed...didn't matter. High energy, good musicians, fine acting. All the music is provided by the cast and boy is it good. Small, intimate theater. You actually feel like you're in the recording studio with the...continued

The Apollo is in the crowded area of the Near North Lincoln Park, however, there is ample street parking and self park valet next to the venue for $10 dollars. Very close is an excellent bar and grill, Clarke's that is open 24 hours.
The...continued

The seats were horrible. Way off to the extreme side and back, under the speakers. Viewed the entire show watching the back of the actors' heads. The music was extremely loud. I could, however, clearly see the center seated audience faces, and...continued

This was one of the best shows ever. This is one legendary jam session that you do not want to miss. The memories this show brought back are the greatest. Rock and roll is still very much alive!

we saw it with three understudies. That's rather a lot. The show was ok. But would have better with the actual actors. The actors who were not understudies were better than the understudies in overall presence.

What fantastic musical talent in this show. All the performers were great but I especially LOVED Johnny Cash (a dead ringer in looks and musical style) and the drummer, who quietly sat in the background and drummed up a STORM.

A rip-roaring compendium of all those "hits" from my youth (une femme d'un certain age!!), laced together by the thin(ish) true story of the night those 4 "Horsemen" of rock 'n roll got together in Sun Records in Memphis for one last hurrah. ...continued
