At this point in the run, the cast has really become unit. The relationships between the characters were clearly defined and the actors fit their parts perfectly. The show itself is a fascinating exploration of friendship and human nature. We...continued

Great acting, very funny in parts, time went by very quickly. Small theater so all seats good.

There wasn't any sign of a real friendship between the characters which was needed for this type of play. Individually the performances were good but altogether they subtracted from the play.

This was my first visit to Chicago and I have to say that the theatre scene there is astounding. I enjoyed the intimacy of the theatre. I found the play to be thought provoking and tragically comical. I loved every minute of it. The post show...continued

Both I and my partner thought that the show was terrific. The acting was outstanding and play itself was moving and thought provoking. The 80 minutes went by quickly and there was not a second of "dead" time in the play. I saw this play years ago...continued

This play was so simple, yet extremely complex. Brilliantly done. Highly recommended and very entertaining.

This was a fine production and worth the time and money. It is worth going to see Joe Dempsey's role of Yvan. The play itself is a bit pointless, or maybe dated.

I've seen this 4 times! 3 times in London once in Chicago. All with different casts, all with a different take on the play. Beautifully done, stay for the discussion after the play. Can I give it more than 4 stars?

"Art" was certainly a more profound production than I thought it would be; the humor was there, but mainly to lighten the mood associated with watching the "deconstruction" of a 15 year friendship. Well worth the watch, and I intend on reading the...continued

An engaging and thought-provoking drama. Many themes came to the fore, including men's relationships, art and its influence, art and how we ascribe value to it, among others. The acting was excellent. My spouse and I both highly recommend it.

Overall, this play is very enjoyable but note that it opens up with character background information presented almost too quickly to sink in. Lines could use polishing as there were some obvious and distracting flubs. Sets, lighting, and sound...continued

This is a play about three friends. One purchased a VERY expensive painting, that is all white. He invited his friends over to see the painting and conversation and confrontation ensue, as the painting's meaning and ultimately what they mean to...continued

Very funny in parts, just from the characters body language and dialog, yet introspective with the reality of what was really going on between three guys who had been friends for 15 years. They had grown into different paths from a societal...continued

2 of the 3 actors bellow continuously. The third, at least half the time. Apparently no one ever taught them that control of voice production is a prerequisite for actors.

I really enjoyed the play. How interesting that it took the purchase of a painting for them to realize that they weren't true friends. It kind of makes me question my own friendships, like am I really friends with this person because I enjoy their...continued
