Mackenzie Kyle (Hedda) was fastastic. Bravo to her! The rest of the cast did an impressive job also. The set design was marvelous. Another great show by the artists of Raven Theater. Stop reading this review and buy tickets already. ;-)

Hedda was great - a young Faye Dunnaway - great job of presenting an attitude - both soft and very hard. The rest of the cast were all very believable in their roles, they were good, but you go to this play to see Hedda. The staging was very...continued

I was not familiar with the story and the subject matter sounded a bit dark but the scenery and actors were first class and I really enjoyed the performance.
This was my first visit inside the theatre and I was very impressed with the layout,...continued

A timeless piece filled with all of man's(and woman's) sins! Terrific acting from whole cast but especially from female lead who WAS the part!
Been to the Raven several times now and always a wonderful experience. Telling all my friends to see...continued

Brilliant! The performance was top notch. I was very impressed with the set design - when we sat down, we saw three separate sections with a big box in the middle and thought we wouldn't be able to see each side. Lo and behold and the box unites...continued

My husband and I attended Saturday night. Our first visit to the Raven. It was superb - the setting was great, the actors were perfectly cast, and the play well done. MacKenzie Kyle deserves many kudos for her portrayal of Hedda.

If I were a casting director, I would have cried, sighed and smiled upon the discovery of actess Mackenzie Kyle, who is Hedda in Raven Theatre's current production of Ibsen's classic. Kyle strikes all the right notes and gives Hedda the dimension...continued

This is the second time I have seen Hedda Gabler. The first time was an outstanding production at Steppenwolf a few years ago. The Raven production was well acted for the most part. Hedda Gabler lends itself well to a small theater because of...continued

This is the most fully realized production I have seen yet from Raven Theater. I've seen several solid past productions at Raven that were well done and had good ensemble work, but with "Hedda Gabler" there are two points that push this production...continued

Really well done. Revising my opinion of Ibsen upwards (Court Theater's Wild Duck didn't do it for me)

Hedda nicely realized.

I am an avid theater-goer and arts appreciator with theater series tickets to 3 well-established venues in downtown Chicago. Raven is located not far from my residence and until this past weekend, I've ignored its presence. I must have been...continued

Ecellent drama. Surprise ending. Intimate size theater. Limited free parking. Don't miss it. Hedda Gabler role: she is charming, cunning with an evil streak.

I really enjoyed the production. Hedda made you wince as she cruelly inflicts pain on those around her but the realization of her own tormented position in life subtley finds its way through until you almost root for her by the end. The Judge's...continued

The play was excellent. The lead actress was so good. The story line was rife with despair and conniving. I must say, I have not enjoyed a play this much in a long time. Even the venue was perfect. Not a bad seat in the house.

The plot seemed to come apart towards the end. Overall, it was
a pleasant play experience, and I couldn't get enough of Mackenzie
Kyle.
