I can't believe we've never been to this gem of a theatre....very friendly folks, a topnotch play with marvelous actors..and best of all, it was a breeze to get to, and the parking was free! The nearby Spitfire Grill was a great spot for yummy,...continued

The story was not well written, could be much better. Acting was very good.

Well acted. 1st act had good pace and was quite funny. 2nd act slowed down quite a bit and lost a lot of the humor. One of the actresses was noticeably pregnant (which was not part of her character).

The Ruskin group executes well. This is a nice simple work and it works. There is no question it is the charm of everyone involved that takes it above the average.

Having grown up in an Italian neighborhood several decades ago the characters...continued

This is a play written early in John Patrick Shanley's career. If you are a fan - as we are -of his work, the first act will be a fine example of his great talent as a dialogue writer. The second act is rather sophomoric, delivering its message...continued

I was actually not a huge fan of the writing in this show but the performances were wonderful. Nice little theater, too. No payoff to a rather long set change, though.

I thoroughly enjoyed the production. John Calello was absolutely briliant. From the moment he entered he grabbed the audience's attention and didn't let go until the end.

Poor acting, cliche characters, we couldn't wait to exit at intermission.

What a terrific ensemble of actors! They each took "risks" as actors with their emotions. Nothing false or "cardboard". Great script and directing as well. Wonderful experience!

A play written by one of America's leading dramatists, directed by a fabulous director, and acted by the highly professional and moving actors the Ruskin is famous for--a totally enjoyable experience!. The action never lags; the "fourth wall"--or...continued

Great acting by "Aldo". LIked the venue - small and very near one of my favorite restaurants "Typhoon" Despite the play, I will attend Ruskins plays because I like small venues and it helps train the budding artists.

I love the Ruskin, and love Shanley. Neither disappointed me in this production. John Collela was superb as usual, I saw him previously in Unfaithful, and his performance was exceptional. The rest of the actors were also well cast. Not a bad one...continued

Good acting all around, but writing just fair. Think perhaps Italians can relate best to it, as hard to identify with problems presented and the solutions applied.

Another wonderful play at the Ruskin! All the actors were great, but I especially enjoyed the performances of John Collela as "Alda" and Cloe Krumwell as as wonderfully-believeable "Teresa." One wanted to yell out, "Forget Janice; we all wait...continued
