I love the Ruskin, and love Shanley. Neither disappointed me in this production. John Collela was superb as usual, I saw him previously in Unfaithful, and his performance was exceptional. The rest of the actors were also well cast. Not a bad one...continued

John Collela is a very engaging lead man, but it wasn't necessary with this very intelligent script. If you like a story that reminds you to peel back the layers of the onion to see what's truly inside - see this. Very, very entertaining!

A play written by one of America's leading dramatists, directed by a fabulous director, and acted by the highly professional and moving actors the Ruskin is famous for--a totally enjoyable experience!. The action never lags; the "fourth wall"--or...continued

Another wonderful play at the Ruskin! All the actors were great, but I especially enjoyed the performances of John Collela as "Alda" and Cloe Krumwell as as wonderfully-believeable "Teresa." One wanted to yell out, "Forget Janice; we all wait...continued

Had a great time. The acting was up to par and the story line enjoyable and entertaining. The venue is intimate and allows for one to be engrossed into the story. Definitely worth seeing.

We purchased these tickets on a whim, based upon Goldstar reviews, prices and Shanley. We cannot recommend this production highly enough. How blessed we are to have access to quality theatre in LA for little more than the price of a movie! GO.

Excellent casting and acting. The play has the voice of John Patrick Shanley, but I think it should be staged in front of a larger audience to get more feedback/reaction while the play is being performed. All that said, I thoroughly enjoyed it...continued

What a terrific ensemble of actors! They each took "risks" as actors with their emotions. Nothing false or "cardboard". Great script and directing as well. Wonderful experience!

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I've never been to a matinee before, so it felt a bit strange attending a play during the day. It was such a pleasant atmosphere. The play was good and the actors were good. I would highly...continued

The wonderful cast did not let down Shanley's great dialogue. A couple of jumped laughs only points out the challenges of live theater. I thought that the Aunt might have been cast better with an ethnic actress. The theater has a strange...continued
