The acting was beautifully understated. I felt like I was eavesdropping on this sick, warped, entertaining slice of Texas hick melodrama. If you like Sam Shepard, you've love this!

the play is VERY intense with explicit sexual situations and themes, not for someone looking for a casual fun spirited theater evening, the intensity the actors brought to the roles was impressive...not for all tastes

the play is extremely well acted and very unnerving at times. I do recommend it without fail but definately not for the faint of heart. The ending was truly unexpected. Overall, excellent but intense.

This is strong medicine. The characters will stay with you for a long time, so think carefully before you invite them into your life. If you are overly sensitive, this could genuinely traumatize you. I read their warnings, and said, "yeah,...continued

Wow. This is easily the most intense play I've seen in quite some time. I agree with the other comments about this being explicit. Be prepared for nudity, foul language, sexual themes/abuse, blood, guns and violence -- all presented with an...continued

Intense play, very graphic and a shocking amount of nudity. Acting was spectacular, characters unforgettable. Intimate theater setting lets you feel like your in the scene. Can bring it oustide food/drink. Highly recommended.

Thrilling! And marvelous and brave performances. Watch out if you sit in the front row - you might get sprayed with fake blood. But it's worth it!

The acting, especialy Killer Joe, blew us away. This is a play that you will never forget seeing. There is nudity and graphic violence throughout the play, but it is appropriate because these elements are an intrinsic part of the characters'...continued

Awesome play. Gets right to the heart of the matter of dominance, deceit, forced sexual activity. And you've got to love the sign in the theatre lobby that warns against "sex, violence.... and smoking" in the play and asks more sensitive viewers...continued

Well, my friend and I enjoyed the performance. It was shocking, moving, and had us on the edge of our seats throughout. The acting was top-notch and I look forward to more events in the intimate space of Profiles Theater.

This play was entertaining, unexpected, and intense. Most of the actors were amazing, especially Joe and the son who hired him. However, the actress who played Dottie seemed slightly "wooden" to me. I didn't see a lot of depth in her character....continued

Believe what you're hearing. This production is proof that Chicago-style theater is alive and well. Definitely eat your Wheaties before taking in this one! First-rate ensemble and transcendent work from Darrel W. Cox and Claire Wellin. And yes,...continued
