The acoustics were not very good-- we could not hear the dialogs very well, being seated at the very back of the auditorium. Apparently, the theater did not use sound amplification-- or it was inadequate.

I thought the show was light-spirited and well acted. The "short stories" were delightful as they reminded me of some of the childhood stories I heard when a little boy. The last scene was a bit long and could have been edited.

This is a very lively and imaginative show. The acting was superb and the amount of memorization for Susaan Jamshidi in her role as "Sympathy the Learned" was extremely impressive. This was a really entertaining night out. Our first show in the...continued

We had great seats and the actors did a terrific job. The sets was very creative. Would not recommend it for younger kids - a fair amount of racy material. Thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

Charming! Witty! Engaging! The cast was wonderful; the stories were clever; the staging was perfect for in-the-round production. It had elements of Mel Brooks and Rudyard Kipling, with tales of the heart and tales off-beat. I used a listening...continued

We saw a preview performance. The set, costumes, and choreography were great, as was the music. The clever, bawdy old stories are well-played, but Scheherezade as a character is overshadowed by the characters in her stories. Some of the best...continued

We were seated 3 rows from the stage and did not have problems hearing the dialogue as others did. The lighting, staging, and costumes were fanastic. While some actors were stronger than others I think they all did a great job. The nice thing...continued

I was thrilled to get tickets to the program and had a wonderful time. The staging is clever, the cast are incredibly talented and the humor mixed with the wisdom of these tales are brilliantly presented.

One criticism though. Some bits were...continued

My wife and I couldn't decipher the dialogue in the first half, but, by getting listening aids, transformed the experience in the second! We have been in Baghdad twice in the 70's and have MA's in Middle East history, so we love the literature and...continued

This was a dynamic, imaginative production. amazing how scenery can change immediately on a theatre in the round stage. Loved the music, the flow, the colors, the playful acting. It was just super. thanks.

Builds nicely through the end of the first act; much slower and more disappointing in second act.

I loved the play, the staging, and the music incorporated into the production. The costumes and set were beautiful and informal in a way that suited the in-the-round experience. My one complaint is that I missed some dialogue because of the poor...continued

I loved the sound and the movement. From exotic to slapstick to exotic slapstick. The dialog and the moves are very much like Zimmerman's Candide but in an intimate space. Could have been a bit shorter...but just a bit.
