We really enjoyed this play, have seen Darrell Cox and Somer Benson in several plays here and they are outstanding. Plot was excellent and kept us on the edge of our seats. Great script and super acting.

The scenes have an instability that makes this play and the way the two main actors interact wonderful. The interactions are volatile and identifiable even in their extremes. It has an incredible heart in the writing as well as the acting. The...continued

Neil LaBute's play received its Chicago debut in a strong production at Profiles. Like Killer Joe, I hope this show will be extended and extended. Two of the cast members were in Killer Joe portraying extremely different characters and doing...continued

This was a great show. The four actors handled a lot of dialogue well, there were many funny lines and situations, and they used a spare set nicely. The ending was a bit bland, but it was fun watching the characters and relationships as they...continued

I recently attended the Profile Theater to see "Reasons to Be Pretty" and my date and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The tickets are cheap, the atmosphere is intimate, and the actors were amazing. You are right in the mix of things which keeps...continued

That this play takes place in such an intimate setting is absolutely perfect. It is everything you can do to prevent yourself from participating in the conversations that go on on stage, and this incredible cast involves you to the point where...continued

GREAT!! The actors & Neil LaBute's script were terrific! There were lots of moments in the play that reminded us of situations in our pasts--times in relationships when one person couldn't let go of something, or where you knew someone else's...continued

Everything about this show is fantastic: the script, the direction, the acting. True to LaBute's style, this play pulls no punches and is rather brutal, but it's wonderfully written with dialogue that rings true and performances that are as good...continued

A great play and a wonderful space to see it in. Speaks to the need to be considerate of others in a very forceful way. I understand why the playwright uses this company to premire all of his plays in the midwest The stadium seating on both sides...continued

This play was really enjoyable. I was wondering how a play at the Profiles Theater would be anticipating a tiny stage. Goes to show that with a well written script and great acting thats all you really need.

Very well acted, thought provoking, but not very enjoyable for me. At this point in my life I'd rather spend my weekends laughing. I was emotionally exhausted when it was over.

Nalepa and Cox give performances as good as you'll see anywhere in town. The small space lets the audience experience these truthfully constructed and intensely played scenes up close.

Completely worth the ticket price.

A very well written play, all four actors in their roles are superb, showing a wide range of emotions. Much more touching than I had expected. Am recommending it to some friends.

First, allow enough time to park. (That was a good guideline given by someone else). The sound design is worth hearing (the preshow pretty-themed songs are great - such as "if you want to be happy for the rest of your life..."). Technically...continued

It was dynamic and what a treat to have such believable actors playing these roles. This play is an example of why Chicago theater has become the force that it has. The lead actor may as well be in blockbuster movies.

Enjoyable from the opening scene to the last. Very well acted and believable. The play spurs a lot of thought...from morality, to insensitivity to strength of character. A little too much profanity in the dialogue but the story and the message...continued

Good play; excellent ,enthusiastic acting, in the Chicago tradition of Steppenwolf . It not surprising as the director is a Steppenwolf member.
Profiles has a great bunch of actors a pleasure to watch we had enjoyed Graceland before
