I loved this cast and play. Jeff Daniels was particularly strong, but the whole cast was great and impressive to watch just 4 actors carry the entire play. I appreciated the fact that it was only 90 minutes and it went by very quickly. It was...continued

This play won a Tony? Undeserved in my opinion. But then, there is precious little competition on Broadway anymore, so even a mediocre effort such as GOD OF CARNAGE can rise to the top.

The premise (two 11-years-olds have a playground fight in...continued

God of Carnage is a well written play with a stellar cast and excellent direction by Matthew Warchus. I was sorry to have missed it on Broadway,so I was thrilled when it was on the schedule for the Ahmanson. The story is not new-two sets of...continued

Was really looking forward to this especially after all the wonderful reviews, but overall it was just ok for me. It had its moments and there were some clever things, the actors were amazing and I always enjoy the Ahmanson, but ultimately it...continued

Amazing performance from 4 fine actors. I read this play and loved it, the stage performance was very different, but equally engaging. Much was added in the staging, in fact - I appreciated the excellent timing of the cast and the good...continued

God of Carnage was a delightful surprise. I often find that comedic theater tries too hard for the laugh and usually doesn't get it. Admittedly, the star-studded cast is what piqued my interest. We were immediately drawn in as the subtle humor...continued

What a pleasure to watch the original broadway cast do what they do best. It is so seldom we get to see this caliber of talent in LA.

Phenomenal cast. Felt that it may have played better in a smaller house.

Being seated in mezzanine really made hearing a problem. Actors we not amplified very well. Any slight laugh or chuckle from the audience drowned out the actors dialogue. My poor husband had a very hard time because of the sound system. Even...continued

The play is well written and very well done. However, it belongs in a much smaller theater where one can easily see the actors faces. Try to get close up or hope the Taper gets it one day.

As other reviewers have said, the performances were outstanding. My only quibble with the production is the venue: I love the Ahmanson, but I think this play would have benefited from being in a smaller theatre.

Great cast, spot-on directing, wonderful play. And all in 90 minutes. Fabulous night of theatre. Yay! Seats very decent considering popularity of play. Thrilled Goldstar was able to offer tickets to the hottest theatre of the season.

I thoroughly enjoyed the evening at the theatre. Personally, I didn't find this play to be as much about laughs as a serious view of two relationships spiraling out of control.

The play is very funny and wonderfully acted. If you have the right seats, you will enjoy it very much. Unfortunately, we had second row Mezzanine seats and the sound designer didn't pay enough attention to the upper zones. We couldn't hear...continued

Although our seats were high up, we could see very clearly. It was an outstanding stage production. First class performances from every actor (the original Broadway cast) and a beautiful set. The direction was some of the best I have ever seen...continued

Outstanding performances! Venue too large--perhaps a smaller house like the Geffen, Broad, or the Mark Taper. Glad we had the earphones for the top of the Mezz. It was top notch theatre full of many emotions. Just pure acting--a pleasure...continued

Maybe I was expecting much more due to the incredible reviews it got, but I thought it rather shallow and predictable. If I had seen play in a tiny neighborhood theater for a lot less money I would have enjoyed it a lot more! (;

Very much enjoyed what I was able to hear. Quite a bit of the show was inaudible from the rear mezzanine. For Drama at the Ahmanson ....only purchase seats in the Orchestra. Otherwise, most shows are not worth seeing at any price!
