A powerful story about a very sad subject - the use of rape as a weapon of war. Actors have an Africanized British english accent, which can make understanding them difficult, until your ears and brains reconnect. Story is about a whore house...continued

It was our first time at the new Arena Stage. Ruined was excellant. With the stage in center, every seat was a good view.

A very good play- well acted by an fine ensemble. Thought that at times it was over melodramatic, and sometimes overacted, but then again, it took place during one of the dark times of our modern era. The play aimed to present big issues- and...continued

I was thoroughly disappointed. Hard to believe that the play won the Pulitzer two years ago. A couple of decent performances, but overall static and preachy. Not one of Arena's better productions.

Very intense, depictions of vilolence and implication and discussion of sexual violence against women. This is a real eye opener about the tragedy of most women in the DRC. Costumes, sets and music were great. Tremendous acting.

It is extremely powerful. Perhaps "enjoy" is not the right word, but I am very glad that I saw it. I would recommend it strongly to all adults.

I very much liked the play, but I had a hard time understanding some of the words because of the "accents".
