Review from Richard Rice

Joan was great. Her opening comedian was funny. I only hope the opening guitar player isn't appearing every night. People in my section went back out to the lobby; although his playing was good, the song choices and voice were weak.

The sound...continued

The event was for a good charity. The show began late, the mike was not clear. The opening acts were good and the sound quality was so much better than when Joan was on. It was too bad that half of the audience missed half of the sentences of...continued

The show deserves 5 stars, as Joan was awesome. However, the sound and the seats were terrible. I, along with everyone around me had a hard time hearing and everyone was asking their neighbors "what did she say". The opening comedian had some...continued

JOAN WAS JUST GREAT... AND AT 77 SHE HAS AMAZING STAMINIA AND ENERGY.... WE WERE IN THE BALCONY, AND THE SOUND WAS JUST AWFUL.... WE MISSED MOST OF HER LINES, AND PEOPLE AROUND US WERE SAYING "WHAT DID SHE SAY"... IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING AS SHE...continued

The sound system in the theater was very poor. If you were seated in the balcony, which is where the Goldstar seats were, it was very hard to hear the comedians.

I laughed so hard my face hurt. Deserved a better sound system.

Joan was fabulous! Energetic beyond her years, and hysterically funny, she is a force of Nature and a treasure! The comic who opened for her was terrific as well....and our seats were terrific! Well done, Goldstar!

The program started very, very late. The opening singer was terrible-although a good guitar player, his voice is very common and sometimes he was even off key. The comedian was funny but too long. I love Joan Rivers but there was alot of mic...continued

Joan as always was great. Couldn't understand what Peter Tilden was saying, so agree with previous post the sound system needs adjusting. Did not care for the musician but thought the comic was good, cannot remember either one of their names...continued

My seats were in the lower part of the balcony. I had a lot of trouble hearing what Joan was saying. What I did hear was hysterical. (Although I did think she crossed the line on a few comments). I guess the acoustics were better for the...continued

Its an intimate theater but we could only understand half the jokes Joan and Brad Zimmerman were making. Joan of course is the reigning Queen of Comedy that played extra special attention to the queens in the audience. She is unique and a...continued

Hysterical!! Those who missed it unfortunately missed one of the best shows of the year. Rivers was in top form and Zimmerman her opening act was far beyond the typical opening act. Besides her obvious comic timing, it is a marvel to watch her...continued

Joan Rivers was incredibly funny, snarky, outrageous, gracious, and beyond fabulous. I would see her anytime at any venue. Peter and Teresa were a waste of time--the other comic went on too long--and the music--although fun--hard to hear!

It was a good show and Joan Rivers was in fine form, as she always is. Very funny, high energy, lots of laughs. Opening music act was very good as was the comic before Ms. Rivers. The reason for the lower rating is: the sound system in the theater...continued

The show was great. Only problem was the sound quality upstairs was terrible--words sounded muffled and missed at least 20% of the show owing to the bad sound quality.

Very funny show (Joan is brilliant!) - opening comic very funny as well. Only problem was poor sound quality - we missed a lot of punch lines because the sound was not clear!

Odd choice, however, for beginning act of the show - a Country...continued

I agree with the other reviewers that the sound system was awful. I was told at the box office that we had "good seats," but they were lousy - 2nd balcony, and the echo was so bad we moved down to the 1st balcony just to be able to hear. The...continued

Joan was awesome, as usual...brilliantly funny!!! The big problem was that the sound system was terrible. It was hard to hear many of her jokes, and people all around us were having the same difficulty as you could hear people saying "What did...continued
