What an excellent script/production/performance by such a young playwright - Marja-Lewis is a star. All actors were convincing, but "Sam" spoke and moved in such a way that it was simply real life. And what a wise, warm, funny person she was/is,...continued

Dysnomia is a family dramedy that feels very real and hits the heart on several levels. There's no good guy, no bad guy. Just a family trying to cope with the fact that the wife/mother realizes she is gay.

The play is very well written and...continued

The acting was terrific but the story was just not believable to me. The material contained slightly dated concepts, such as the traditional role of women and coming out. It would have been good to have an alternative approach to the impact of a...continued

Saturday night was sold out, patrons were begging to be seated, and now I know why. A poignant revealing of the trials, tribulations and self-doubt of coming out. Truth and love triumphs in the end.

Well written dialog and uniformly well acted but the writer misses a chance to make something much more memorable and not so mundane. You could argue that the play is an insult to gay people as we have a mid-life woman who has a self-centered jerk...continued

Great storyline. Well written.
Well cast, acting was superb, especially all the females!! Their roles seemed a little deeper, and well rounded.
Scenic design was exceptional, good use of space.
Highly recommend this show!!!

We both thoroughly enjoyed the play. So glad to see such plays at smaller venues such as The Lounge Theatre.

I am suffering from ennui. While I did know what the play was about beforehand, I am feeling lately that if I see one more play where the lead character must come out of the closet to family and friends, replete with all the predictable yet...continued
