We enjoyed our tour quite a bit. Gaining perspective on what it would be like to live when there was no electricity was very interesting. The tour guides and staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Although our tour guide seemed to lack a little...continued

Very interesting. Excellent guides. Lot's to see. Unfortunately the evening was extremely warm and the mansion is not air-conditioned. Regardless, I recommend the tour.

A group of 7 friends went for the tour and we will be back! Knowledgeable guides in Period Clothing.. Beautiful grounds and lovely setting made it a fun evening. Everyone had a fun time and can't wait for the next "Gore Place" event!

Very interesting event. A must see. The chance to go thru the mansion and learn more about the time and era when it was built.

We are going to go again when the tour shows how they lived without electric lights.

the tour guide was very informative, but the lights were on dimly in some areas, not so dimly in others and the shutters were closed on all the windows, so you didn't get the affect of the moonlight. There were candle lit lanterns on the...continued

A well done hour long tour of the Gore Mansion. While there is not much original furniture or detail to the house, the tour guide did a great job of creating an atmosphere of the times with his detailed description of the life of a servant in the...continued

Don't go there if it's really hot. There's no air conditioning and it is stifling inside the house. That takes your mind off of the tour.

Our first trip to Gore Place. We ranged in age from 18 to 70 and all really liked it. I don't think any of us had ever thought about what life was like prior to the introduction of electric lights but the tour made that time vivid and alive. ...continued

It was an very good tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. He linked the mansion with the surrounding estate. Because of the size of the tour, only three people, we were able to ask many questions. My only concern was the numerous steep and...continued

The house and property are beautiful, and we felt very welcomed on the tour. The guides were very knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about life in the 1800's. Be aware there is a fair amount of stair-climbing involved, but well-worth the effort!

I enjoyed the tour, would have liked to see more the kitchen and the greenhouse is it still operating? Maybe a large map to show how far the people traveled to dinner. Show us more of the staffs daily life, even if it is photos blown...continued

We had a great time on this tour. We got the beginning time wrong, so we were early enough to take a walk around the grounds. A cold drink and cookies was served before the tour began. The two guides were wonderful, and it apparently isn't a...continued

Beautiful mansion! Enjoyed being able to view the upper levels of the home as well. Would have liked more in depth information about the original owners, however I understand that was not the focus of the tour. Guides very nice and informative-...continued

I enjoyed the "full moon" tour at Gore Place. The staff was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. It was interesting to learn what life was like in the 1800's and about all the work the butler was required to do. Thanks for a nice night out. ...continued

The group was broken up so there weren't too many on the tour. It made it easy to hear, ask questions and see items around the house. Our tour guide was clear and interesting. Definitely will look for other events here.
