it was raining hard so the event was transferred to the indoor lobby.
The band was too loud (poor acoustics) for a small space.......it was not
really their fault...It was a pleasant time spent listening to the music

Because of a rainy evening, the event took place inside of the museum, which was quite ok. I enjoyed the music and the interpretation of various songs from the 60's and 70's. The acoustic was a bit too loud I thought, especially the bands'...continued

For some reason I expected it to be on a rooftop. Terrace is the "patio" in front of the entrance. Music was good and the overall crowd size good, but there were some groups there that brought attendance up.

Can't wait for next year. This summer I was only able to go twice, it's GREAT. And you receive free admission to come back? Awesome.
Note: of course the drinks are a bit yucky and weak, stick to wine or beer. But I think that's be anticipated.

A lovely three-hour evening of live retro-swing music well-hosted by the Museum of the City of New York, which also opened its doors to exhibits and a 22-minute film that you could see during band breaks. Our Goldstar entry came with a...continued

Music was good. Very crowded in a small area. Little seating and most of it was reserved. Listened to 2 songs, viewed museum and left.

It was a fun evening taking me away from the everyday monotony of life, The crowd was very sociable and every one had a good time mingling, talking, dancing and listening to the band.
I danced a lot; so, that is a great sign that i enjoyed the event.

The museum and event are nice. However they did not have band on the day I went. It was Dj only. Music is too loud. Neighborhood is scary though. Walking from train to musuem is isolated.
