We got rained out, but it was a blast. They also had an amazing spy opt tour in the building and offered us to trade tickets in to tour museum.

Fun way to spend an hour around the Penn Quarter with my 13 year old daughter. The GPS device worked very well and provided a "realistic" spy experience. Good for both visitors and DC residents.

Great opportunity to interact with your family members. If you have young children, bring them with you, I bet they will like it.

I really thought this was fun. We got one device for three people (we all wanted to stay together. If you can have two groups of at least 2, it could be fun to race. It's fun to walk around DC and look at things in a different way. I think this...continued

It was during a heat wave.mover 100 degrees out. Wasn't clear that ithe scavenger hunt spy thing was outside. I'm with a 9 year old asthmatic and the museum won't exchange the tickets for indoor one. HORRIBLE. RUDE.

My 9 year old daughter loved it and truly "lived" the spy mission, but my 14 year old son found it quite tedious and repetitive, so you'll have a different experience depending on the age of your kids. The good thing is that it forces you to look...continued

My son loved this and so did his parents!! We earned the rank of Spy Master. Do this in the morning if expecting hot weather. We started at 9 AM and by 10:30, we were soaked thru from the heat and humidity. Other than that, it was great!!!

Our family did this together using 1 gps unit. It was fun to work together, but my kids, who are techies, found this gps antiquated and frustrating. At one point, the gps locked up and quit working. We had to go back to the last two places and...continued

The idea was really fun. We should have planned to spend more time than we did. The GPS was fun to walk with, but we had problems finding the locations they wanted.

This was a fun way to be outdoors and walk around the city. I'm glad that I bought a discounted ticket through Goldstar as it wouldn't have been worth the retail price. Ideal for non-DC residents.

This was fun, outdoor event. Pros: it all takes place w/in a few blocks of the museum so is accessible to most people -- walking shoes required. Cons: hard to see screen on tablets in sunlight & there was one minor software glitch. Otherwise,...continued

Cute idea. I'd definitely say more for kids than adults. A couple of the puzzles were good (decoding using a landmark, finding a number on a building, etc.) and others were cheesy (pressing device against a wall to "listen through it" and...continued

My 7 year old loved this and we played it up so she felt like she had a real spy experience. Would recommend to anyone with kids that are in to codes and mystery.

Spy in the City at the Spy Museum in Chinatown
I did spy in the city, which is an interactive activity. You get to be a spy. You are given a GPS which allows you to receive messages and tell you which location to go to in the city. It's a good way...continued

The event itself is prosaic. They give you a tablet and give you very basic clues to go around the city and complete the mission. The clues are pretty easy. There was one clue that was inaccurate in that it told us to go to a place (providing...continued

The spy in the city tour was big fun. I did it as a birthdayparty with 5 kids and it took us about an hour and a half. They were very exited and I think it was the first time I had my daughter run around the city for over an hour without...continued
