I loved the idea, the set, the direction...but the actors were sooo fast in giving their lines they did not allow any of the emotions to take place. Afraid of pauses and silences? They often tell a million words. If they could slow down a bit,...continued

This was a wonderful production in a lovely intimate theater. The play did a great job of portraying DeAcosta and Garbo's love affair, as well as DeAcosta's dalliances with other notable women of her era. I really liked how the play was based on...continued

Odalys Nanin's masterful performance as Mercedes de Acosta in "Garbo's Cuban Lover" is theatre at its finest. A top-notch production and superb cast back Nanin in a rich and powerful story about love and old Hollywood. Truly entertaining!

Purchasing tickets through Goldstar is so easy and convenient. The play was excellent; cute cozy theatre with a wonderful set on stage. Odalys Nanin is powerful in her diversity as a writer, producer, director & actress! She is surrounded by an...continued

The play was very"camp" . The dialog seemed very contrived , and the sexual parts seemed very gratuitous. This was not one of my favorites.

We are in love with Mercedes. How do we find her biography? Witty, discerning and playful play. We recommend it to all our friends. Congratulation to the author and the actors.

I attended the final night of this play and wasn't disappointed in the least. All the actors in my opinion put on a performance equal to that of the first night. I was sad when it ended. Having read Marlene Dietrich's autobiography many years ago...continued

It was a good play that we enjoyed very much. It was funny and entertaining, albeit a bit corny in parts. The actress who played Garbo embodied her perfectly! She was a spitting image of anything I had ever seen Garbo in. I really enjoyed this...continued

The acting was lacking emotion. It was dull and dragged. Even though the show was fictional, the characters were not convincing.

This play was horrible. The acting was terrible, the effects were terrible. It was like watching a high school production. Avoid this play at all costs.

We loved the intimacy of the theater & the acting was superb. It was not too long perfect time frame. The only thing I would change would be more comfortable seats, both out tails were sore when we left a lot of shifting to try to be comfortable...continued

A lot of intimate history, dished up with delightful aplomb and camp. The second act balanced the show with expected pathos. This was an evening to remind that history IS important. We are lucky to have stories of people who were "out" - to look...continued

Entertaining show, overall! Excellent cast, except the role of Mercedes (Odalys Nanin) was miscast. Her performance was disconnected and "showy," instead of truthful. Would love to see this fun play again with an edited script (some redundant...continued

Garbo's Cuban Lover is proof that there is good theater in L.A. The show was excellent with a mixture of humor and raw emotion. The writing captures the truth of the human condition and the actors wrap themselves in these characters and create a...continued
