This was a very modernized adaptation of the French classic, "Cyrano de Bergerac", though you would never know this from reading the program. I don't think they should have assumed that everyone knows this; it's an important fact which ought to...continued

My husband and I went to the Chopin Theater for the first time to attend a preview performance of Cyrano. We enjoyed the show and found the cast to be lively and talented. However, we thought that the opening was a little slow. It didn't grab...continued

This is an exciting new adaptation of the classic Rostand play. All of the humor and swashbuckling swordplay are kept, and the poetry downplayed for contemporary audiences. The set is clean and uncluttered, with a wonderful wrap-around balcony,...continued

Let's start with the theatre. The people who checked you in were very friendly and informative. It is a really unique looking place. Come early to look around the decorated rooms.

The seats were all good, each row being set up a higher level...continued

So cleanly performed! Timing was incredible - and with this kind of dialogue that makes a big difference. The comic foil was fantastically played. And Cyrano was a STAR. I highly recommend this show.

To me, taking Edmond Rostand's brilliant script for Cyrano de Bergerac and changing it is a bit like saying "this Shakespeare guy, he's okay, but I bet I could do better!" Lines that are supposed to be supremely beautiful and poetic are nothing...continued

A gem. In a small space with 1 piano for a prop, they put you into the world of Cyrano De Bergerac. The lead actor was wonderful. His face was very expressive. The sword fights were incredible.

Stacy Stoltz is a delight to watch as Roxanne. She makes fantastic choices that give breadth to the character, drawing you in and having you want her to get everything she wants from her suitor. Shawn Pfautsch's Cyrano is light, whimsical,...continued

Took a group of skeptical friends to see Cyrano with me at the Chopin Theatre. Happy to report that everyone loved it! Even the too-masculine-to-enjoy-theater guys! The cast was very interactive. The venue is cool, not at all stuffy/formal...continued

My wife and I attended one of the final previews. Cyrano is our favorite play, which makes us, sometimes harsh critics, but this was a good production. The music was unexpected, but unique touch and well sung by the "handsome" lead. The action and...continued
