While this show wasn't painful to sit thru or anything, it did leave us with the head-scratching question as to what about the story (other than the obvious parallel to modern day Hollywood mentalities) made a revival necessary. Only the second...continued

The actors themselves were fine. The writing was simply awful! Besides needing serious editing, it dragged on and on ...and on. It was trite and extremely BORING!!!!!

While this production had it moments, I can't really recommend seeing it. The sets and costumes were good and most of the performance were strong. However, the story is lacking and not that amusing.

ACT should be ashamed. The play was long, acting amateurish, dialogue muddled, direction misguided but at least the sets were nice. There was a time when ACT was at the cutting edge of theatre. With this play it is an example of dead theatre. The...continued

Rather disappointing. The play just seem to lie on the stage. Despite the impressive pedigree, it was really rather boring. None of the sparkling wit was evident that we had been let to believe. Cast was just adequate.

Sorry but I really did not like this production. It was not good on so many levels. ACT tries but this show did nothing for me.

The sets and costumes were fine. Actors also very good, but the play itself was a disaster!! It is NOT funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very little laughter from the audience; a few "titters" every now and then. They would have been better off doing...continued

Beautiful production of a dated play.

Cute show that is enjoyable but much of the humor in the script is wasted as the actors simply do not seem to have developed the required comedic timing and nuance.

More shorter film clips. More dancing and singing by actors. The show was too long and could be cut. This best part for me was the curtain call with the dancing. Sets, lights, production was tops.

The play was written around 1930, and it shows it's age. Though I'm certain many of the topical jokes were updated, the pacing was slow to the point of tedium in the first act and much of the second. The acting wasn't inspired except for one minor...continued

Doesn't really wear well. Also too long. Recommend only one intermission. Quite a lot of people were leaving at the second intermission. cast pretty good altho secondary characters more fun than the three principals.

The first act was a little slow, but when it picked up, it was quite good, and very entertaining. We did not see any mention in the program that this was a 3 act play, and we left the theater after the second act, thinking it was over. We asked...continued

Great cast and great fun. The use of old and old looking "Talkies" footage was a true delight. ACT does it again!

This is a fun slice of theater from the early 20th C. The costumes are stunning, the sets engaging, and the acting suited to the play. Very enjoyable technique of inserting period film clips. I heard some comments that the story line was 'thin'....continued

A fast-paced, fun-filled comedy about Hollywood in a bygone era, very enjoyable.

Fun show -- great sets, strong acting, especially by the female lead and the studio head. It seemed a little short for two 15-minute intermissions.

A first class production. We had lots of laughs. Glad we went. FYI - Seats at the theater have very little leg room!

Wonderful! This was great fun; very reminiscent of the screwball comedies of the 30's and the cast was pitch perfect; many of them taking on more that one role. ...A totally enjoyable evening in the theatre.

'Twas Wonderful! Actors acted well, the video was splendid, and very apt. Laughed all the way through, learned a lot about the talkies and the movie industry (see program! very well written!).
