Jack Fry's show is the best presentation of a modern-day teacher's life and dilemmas I've ever seen. With poignant insights and deft humor, Fry navigates the sandbars, storms and harbors of a teacher's life and work - from "getting hired" to...continued

They Call Me Mister Fry was a groundbreaking performance! It made my friends and I laugh and cry. We are all teachers so it was especially touching but anyone would enjoy it. Jack Freiberger was awesome!! Highly recommend it!!

Interesting and pretty well done treatment of such an important subject. It seemed a bit more self-centered (writing and performance) than necessary, but was still informative and ultimately quite moving. That said, if you only see one local...continued

This play definitely depicted a year in the life of an educator. The audience was primarily educators and according to the claps and laughter we were all touched.

A real tour de force. I thoroughly enjoyed this one man show which captured the pitfalls and hard-won rewards of teaching in an educational war zone.

“They Call Me Mr. Fry,” moved from laughter - through tears - and ended in triumph. Jack Fry gave a masterful performance as a struggling teacher, as well as portraying his young, often unruly charges their parents and the school’s...continued

A love letter to teaching and to the children we teach. It is important as any play can be without blowing its own horn. It's also a lot of fun and full of heart.

A very well described thoughtful and touching display of his own true experiences. Some very sad and some very funny.
I appreciated his candid approach and sharing his vulnerability on stage, in such an intimate setting. Very courageous !
