Never saw The Nutcracker as a musical;enjoyed the idea of it. This production was very uneven. Enjoyed the actors/musicians;very talented. --The 1st act was well written and flowed well. The 2nd act was 3-5 scenes stuck together, got very dark...continued

Set in a very intimate theater in the round, there isn't a bad seat, which is great as this event is general admission. I found it very moving and well acted. All the actors were great and fully committed. The little bit of audience interaction...continued

Simply fantastic! Such an intimate experience with the story, it refreshes the emotional connection even for those familiar with this classic.

This is a heartwarming show and is great for both kids and adults. It's a new way of telling the Nutcracker story and will be close to home for many. Expect to laugh and be moved! (And you can bring your drink into the theater!!)

Totally different than the traditional rendition of The Nutcracker. Dark portrayl of the Rat King (the little kids were scared). Overall it was great though. The House Theatre always puts up a great interactive show, and they did not disappoint.

We went to an 8:00 show with our 6 and 8 year olds, pretty sure that they would tire out by intermission. The show was pure delight -- by turns festive, pensive, scary. Sitting down on the front row (in the round) we were totally immersed in the...continued
