FANTASTIC SHOW! This one could easily be a "must-see" for anyone who lives great suspenseful entertainment...but leave the kids at home since there is a bit of profanity. This is one of David Mamet's best pieces in a long, long time.

I had tickets to see the star-studded (James Spader, David Alan Grier, Richard Thomas & Kerry Washington) Broadway production of "Race," but had an accident and had to miss it because I was in the ER instead of Times Square... so I was very glad...continued

Mamet's plays always have twists that provoke thought, this one was no exception. I did find a lack of nuance and a huge dose of cynicism that painted a broad brush related to the race issue. I also thought that his premise that our society is so...continued

Mamet dialogue at its best performed by a stupendous cast, thoroughly engaging. If you like Mamet, you'll love this.

LOVED "RACE". Great acting, wonderful stage tension between the characters, great theater setting. The play provoked a lot of conversation about race, and prejudice, and prejudgments that we all make, intentionally or inadvertently. 90 minutes, no...continued

I bought $5 balcony seats for the play and ended up on the mezzanine. The seats were WONDERFUL and a total steal. The A.C.T lobbies and bathrooms seem to have been remodeled since I was last there and are quite lovely. The theater itself is...continued

Both the male lawyers were excellent actors. Loved that their was no intermission to break up the rapid pacing. Although the material was a little dated, still a good evening of theater.

David Mamet has provided yet another thought provoking piece that begs us to question our deepest thoughts and feelings regarding race. The acting was razor sharp and the dialogue was dead-on. I felt the tension between the characters. Overall it...continued

This is a very solid Mamet production. Typical Mamet "F-bomb"-fest. The staging was very good. The acting was good but a bit too one-note. I would have liked to see a bit more inflection in the performances. But all in all a good production.

Simply put, this is one of the quickest moving, well-written and acted, thought-provoking pieces i've seen in a very long time. Thanks to everyone who made this happen so seamlessly. ~steveT

Actors all fantastic. Fabulous preview, with no mistakes that I could tell. Play a little disappointing, not because of the famous Mamet snappy exchanges; but because it wasn't clear to me. There was a big question mark at the end, which is all...continued

It's billed as straight talk about race but the playwright really pulled his punches. He flirts with honesty and then pulls back to the modern-day stereotype: the black woman is smart, sassy, and more insightful than his white male boss (Yawn). Of...continued

I am a regulat theater goer and Race was one of the best plays I have seen in the last few years. I think Mamet is a great writer. Also I think I enjoyed it more because I have been a criminal defense lawyer for 46 years and the characters were...continued
