I enjoyed this production and I can't wait to bring my son when he's a little older. It's not too long; it starts earlier in the evening, and you're out at a decent time. The show was charming, though at times strange, with the random songs and...continued

Review from suzanne and theater

A beautiful production with a terrific cast, including lots of younger actors(ages 8 to 13). The multi-generational audience loved the show, along with being part of a Christmas tradition.

While not especially true to the book, it was charming and fun, with some nice special effects. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

A ton off fun! I really enjoyed the Ghost of Christmases Yet to Come. This was very creatively done as was the set. All around, two thumbs up.

I'd give this 3-1/2 stars. Although my husband and I enjoyed the show, I would call this "A Christmas Carol - Light". The beginning seemed a bit more like a community theater (in the worst sense - there's plenty of Excellent community theater out...continued

A wonderful Christmas Carol. I loved the special effects and the singing. At 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission , was perfect length.

I liked this show a lot. A strong supporting cast which included many children, the actor (Carpenter) playing the major role of Scrooge really made the experience hit home. This was a great way to help me get into the spirit of the season.

I would recommend choosing any other Christmas concert or play. Try as I might, I couldn't get into the spirit of this production, which struck me as cutesy for its songs, costumes and effects (a flying acrobat-ghost, indeed!). This was definitely...continued

I love Theater, and this provided all the excitement and glamor that theater represents. The actors were superb, and the staging and the artistry and the special effects were wonderful. Loved the whole experience!

The show seemed fine except the two seats we had at the balcony had obstucted views. They were the end two seats on the first row which were right behind the lights. The person sitting at one of the seats could not see the center part of the stage...continued

A.C.T.'s production of Christmas Carol is always fun and entertaining to watch - loved it. We sat in the second to last row in orchestra - great view.

An above-average staging of this holiday classic. I particularly liked the brisk pacing of the production and inventive use of staging and props. The acting was what one would expect from a Dickensian tale: mannered, vaguely British and Victorian....continued

Review from Unk

This production is not up to standards of A.C.T.
There are "some parts" that are quite good, however most of the play does not fit into that category. We have seen community theatre versions of this show that were far better than what we saw...continued

I loved this production of A Christmas Carol. I hadn't seen it in several years and expected the traditional version but this was a new and certainly improved play. Not that the original one isn't good too but this was fresh, funny, great...continued

One of my favorite holiday stories and really done well here.

Review from Pritch

It was a twist on the traditional story, with singing combined with gay and African American ghosts; very San Francisco in that regard. It was Charles Dickens with a bit of Beach Blanket Babylon mixed in. So don't go expecting the classic...continued
