FELA was spectacular! The performances of Sahr Ngaujah (FELA), Melanie Marshall (Funmilayo, FELA's mother) and Paulette Ivory (Sandra) were extraordinary!! The music makes you want to get up and dance. The cast invites you to do just that.

Tells the story of Fela in song and dance. Might have sugar coated the man to make it family friendly, but the performers were great. The run time is a bit long.

This show was absolutely PHENOMENAL. We enjoyed it tremendously. I wish I had purchased tickets for another day so I could go again.

Fela! is a ride. It is to me, what theatre should be. It's interactive, it's alive, it's > entertaining, It's moving. I saw the original Broadway cast and this production is almost as good. The stage was smaller making for a more intimate feel...continued

Some of the performers were excellent singers and dancers. Lead guy was pretty great. But it's more of a recreation of Fela's final concert with a few stories thrown in than it is an actual story. It's not the kind of show I like.

The show was fantastic! The dancers, singers and theo band were great. I like how they involved the audience in a dance routine. I want to learn some of the movements that the females were doing.

Best musical I have seen in a long time. Fela is an incredibly talented actor, and the musicians were key to it's success! Ahmanson was a bit small for their performance but made it more intimate.

The cast, musicians, costumes and production were excellent, however it was to much for too long. I could have left at the intermission and that would have been enough for me, but the story wasn't finished so I stayed.

Wow. The dancers were great. They moved effortlessly and very gracefully. Unfortunately, this gio came to life in the second 1/2. Or, fortunately, because we are all now aware of what happened in Nigeria. It really opened my eyes.
