8 of the greatest cartoons on the big screen. These movies are mostly unavailable in DVD. Interesting commentary regarding the artists, studios and artistic styles. Recommended foe all ages.

It says something when these classic cartoons from the 1930s-50s have more intelligent things to say than many of today's Hollywood movies. Visiting the Alex Theatre is always a visual treat and the audience is reliably enthusiastic.

This was an enjoyable event. I love The Alex Theatre. Great selection of the vintage cartoons that I grew up with. I will make it a point to return to 3rd annual screening. Thanks Goldstar!

Nice collection of some classic 30s & 40s cartoons from a variety of studios in a great old theater. There was also some insight from noted cartoon historians and behind the scenes video of the cartoon making process.

The Alex Theater was a lovely venue for this event. The cartoons were great fun and the accompanying information presented by the author of a book on cartoons was very interesting.

Very well done. I enjoyed the two hosts--sort of made it like the Academy Awards. They first present and give you a little background on each cartoon and then show a series. I really enjoyed learning about the historical background. Would like...continued

I really enjoyed seeing these old cartoons in their original print. It's also wonderful to be introduced to the methods and innovations that old animators used to produce such wonderful shorts.

We had a great time. Parents saw old memories and the kids were exposed to cartoons the we we used to see them.
