the cast did not speak loudly or clearly and I missed a lot of the dialog. I really did not care about any of the characters in the play, not sure whether it was the play itself or the actors.

Outstanding and superb performances by the entire cast! I thought the story itself was a little boring at times and I found myself waiting and wanting something exciting to happen again to get back on pace. But, when I wasn't bored the content...continued

We loved this play. It exceeded our expectations. The discussion afterward was very worthwhile too. We just moved to Chicago, and we knew that the Steppenwolf has had an awesome reputation - and we see why. We are so grateful for such great...continued

A very well acted, well staged thought provoking work. I would definitely recommend it!

Steppenwolf continues to provide modern theater and the acting here was great. While the piece had its moments, the work was a Tony nominee, not a winner. Great use of the space, and not your traditional upstairs set.

Anyone who has lived in serious relationships can relate to the chemistry between Sarah & James. Talking around things, feeling love for each other, yet not wanted to expose their inner demons lest the delicate relationship suffer more. Editor...continued

Perhaps I was sitting too far back to hear all the dialogue, but I knew what was going on. I was fairly uninvolved and relieved when it was over.

"Time Stands Still" was an outstanding play. It was very believable and thought-provoking. The small ensemble cast gives you a lot to think about with each character and with how each character is relating to the others and to the conundrums...continued

Acting on the part of the players was first rate. Story was more than I imagined it would be, a thoughtful presentation that was more about human strength and frailty than about war.

I'm happy we went to this play but I wouldn't see it again. There were some thought provoking questions including one about the role of journalists and photographers in documenting reality versus interfering with it. The mix of relationships in...continued

It was a nice play and good acting. Story was so so ... good topic, but brings nothing new to the subject.

Kind of boring, no chemistry between the two actors. They spent more time on her affair than the things they saw and did. There were a few funny moments but overall not a must-see.

Well acted play about the struggles of our current times of war and the relationships that are strained as a result of the conflicts.

Fascinating, thought-provoking. Hurt Locker meets Days of Wine and Roses. The main character compared his plight with his girlfriend to the latter movie. On the nose and it takes away from the originality of this piece. Too much pecking...continued

This play was excellent, gripping and powerful. One of the best I've seen in a long time. Not uplifting but very well written and acted and very timely. It challenges gender stereo types in an authentic way.

I enjoyed Time Stands Still. There were several current and relevant themes in the story and the actors kept the audience engaged. I stayed after the show for a discussion with the artistic director and playwright which I found to be very...continued

Once again Steppenwolf delivers the goods. The play was excellent, the actors were phenomenal and the set design was amazing. A bonus was a Q&A session with the director after the show which made this a truly unique and engaging experience. The...continued
