We saw his NOT A GENUINE BLACK MAN, which was excellent, so we were expecting a lot. Very disappointed in his new play. Boring and not in the least funny.

Great performance. Very intense, personal and funny with an important message to those of us who suffer from depression and/or have loved ones who do. Highly recommend it.

Brian Copeland has done it again..provided social commentary about a serious subject in an amusing yet sensitive manner. The sold out house gave a standing ovation to this "beautiful mind"!

Brian did a great job integrating humor with a difficult subject. I thank him for bringing his experience with depression into his solo piece. I was moved and impressed. All of us enjoyed the show and had something to talk about after the...continued

I first saw Copeland's "Not a Genuine Black Man" about six months into its run, and loved it so much that I wound up seeing it 2 more times. "The Waiting Period" is not quite as polished yet as "Genuine," but I get the sense that it's still...continued

Brian Copeland is a brave man. I've seen two of his shows, including this one, and both have required that he expose an intimate part of himself with the audience to peer into the world in which he lives. The first show I saw -- "Not Another...continued

Really liked the depth of this monologue. He shared his soul, but he told the story by making fun and making it seriously acceptable, and made the depth of it real through story. I am glad I went and was able to view him and his life. Knew him...continued

I was afraid to see this show because of the subject matter but it was really well written, extremely humorous, touching, poignant and excellently presented. Brian Copeland is terrific.

Mr. Copeland delivers an entertaining and fun performance with a serious message. This show should be seen by all - especially teens 14 and over. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Brian Copeland's performance was extremely: creative, informative and sensitive in presenting the topic of depression and its tragic results. Copeland was a credible advocate expressing that this is a treatable illness and the need for awareness...continued

Really enjoyed his monologue on dealing with depression. Although the subject is very serious, there are many humorous moments in this no intermission work. The Marsh is a small venue (maybe 100 seats?), which is the perfect intimate setting for...continued
