Beautiful theater. My seat was well situated but on the small, uncomfortable side. I enjoyed both presentations. PLAY was funny, stark and almost like a piece of music. Very fast-paced although if you missed anything, you're in luck. It gets...continued

I am a Samuel Beckett fan and a Bill Irwin fan and so I was well prepared to enjoy this show. We had inexpensive seats in the back of the mezzanine and we were able to see everything perfectly. There were moments of humor and moments of horror...continued

We were so excited for this show, being fans of both Beckett and Bill Irwin. However....we were sorely disappointed. Not only did the actors have to be prompted for lines multiple times, but it seems like they didn't even read the plays. Maybe...continued

Man, that Bill Irwin has the most flexible, expressive face! Very enjoyable, and I was really appreciative of seeing Play, which seems to rarely get produced.

This show was in previews when I saw it, and it clearly needs some work. I love Endgame, but it isn't an easy play to watch given the absurdist nature of Beckett. There's no narrative. There's no real story line. Without any prior exposure, it...continued

My husband and I saw the first preview. This was the first time either of us had seen Play. The presentation was quick, sharp, funny and perfectly Beckett. The production of Endgame needed to cook for another night. We thought the supporting...continued

The lines in "Play" went by so quickly it was often difficult to sort them out. "Endgame" sometimes teetered on the edge of over-acting, or a pastiche of random voices, perhaps from Irwin's personal or professional history. The character Nell...continued

I don't know where GoldStar pulled it's review, but it seemed way off base to my wife and I. The plays were presented in reverse. Play - "tour de force about marriage and infidelity"? I can't know what the plywright had in mind for the production...continued

These two shows were definitely Samuel Beckett. Do NOT go if you do not like Beckett. I happen to find his work fascinating, and these two shows were no exception. "Play" was unique and mesmerizing - a big show for its 20 minutes of running...continued

Plays were dry and failed to reach the audience. If you have a short attention span, don't bother. Staging was interesting but that can only carry something so far. Save your money for something else.

If I could have given zero stars I would have. These plays were about miserable people dragging us through their miserable lives. It was worse than the worst Woody Allen movie. I wanted to walk out but I was in the middle of the row. But saw...continued

If not sitting in the front rows of the theatre, one should have read the Beckett play before attending the performance. Our seats were in the last row of the balcony and it was too difficult to catch the dialogue between the actors. However,...continued

The performance was classic Becket, with a wonderful clarity of text and great acting; Also, you will never see a better Beckett set.

I enjoyed both of the performances: Play and Endgame. I had cheap tickets in the balcony and used the listening device because I have hearing problems. I had only minimal exposure to Beckett (Godot) and feel the performances delivered what I...continued

These semi-autobiographical works are not for everyone, and presentation in reverse order from the event title is needlessly confusing. Play, the first presentation, is more reading than acting; with pacing so fast that it's hard to follow,...continued

I expected to like this more. I love Beckett, and Bill Irwin has always been wonderful. But somehow the result this time out was ponderous, laborious, and lifeless. LIttle tension between the characters; everything felt underlined. I felt bad for...continued
