Reviewing Trombone Shorty's performance -- great band huge talent -- tight tight tight. Like James Brown's Famous Flames meet Mountain. Huge bottom end sound with monster bass player, bari sax, double bass drum kit, and shorty with his trombone...continued

Seats were grwat, opening two acts were amazing, Neville Bros lacked energy, was not bad, just not as good as expected.

The Neville Brothers are OK. What was very disappointing was not hearing enough of the Grammy winning brother, Aaron. Most everyone I talked to wondered the same thing. The other brothers Art, Cyril & Charles are talented, sure enough. But I would...continued

My group sat in the middle of row M, about center stage. We could not hear the vocals of the Neville Brothers because of excessively loud music. Very disappointing! Music was great, but vocals drowned out, except for the song Aaron Neville sang,...continued

The two opening acts were outstanding, truly a pleasant surprise to me and my wife, especially Roddie Romero and the Hub City Allstars. I'm going to buy their CD.
I was a little disappointed in the Neville Brothers - way too much Brothers and not...continued

I'm not a Neville Brothers fan but do like the music of Louisiana. The first band was a good warm up but Trombone Shorty made the night worth it all. I heard about him but WOW what a talent! He should have been the main attraction. After him the...continued

My personal thoughts are that , Naville should have sang more of his great hits like , Ave Maria. The first two groups were awsome very entertaining. Tranbone was awsome.

the first two opening bands were BETTER than the pathetic, aging, short-winded boring Neville Brothers. at least 1/3rd of the crowd left halfway thru the Neville Bros' short set.

The Bands from New Orleans was a beautiful build up to the momentous event of 'The Neville Brothers Farewell Tour." The setting was perfect. Great seats in the middle of the magic of Hollywood Bowl. The TV monitors really add a closeness to what...continued

The opening acts, Trombone Shorty and a great zydeco band from Lafayette, Louisiana were far more entertaining than the Neville Brothers. Aaron played tambourine most of the evening; it was the Brothers show , not his. The brothers are still great...continued

I gave it 4 * because the first 2 acts we good leadins. The consensus around me was that , it was a cameo appearance for Aaron. The thought was that more than 2 songs would be from Aaron. The concert was solely about the bros. My location was ctr....continued

I loved the concert. The Neville's were flawless but Trombone Shorty stole the show!

The Neville Brother were a disappointment. After a stunning performance of Trombone Shorty their 1 hour play was pretty flat and emotionless.

AAron Neville perfornace was just ok, he did not sing songs that were his trademark.

Trombone Shorty and the Zedeco Bands were excellent

he highlite of the evening was Trombone Shorty. I like Arron Neville's music, however I have never heard the Neville Bros music. Trombone Shorty had everyone on their feet. The Neville Bros were not what I expected and we left early.

The opening band and the featured artists were great! We were, however, disappointed we did not hear more from The Neville Bros, and Aaron's unique and magical style. Hearing them do Woman's Got to Have It, was a treat, but it was a teaser that...continued
