Well written historical show. Some fun characters and terrific musicians. The program said there were dancers but there were none at this performance.

Not too professional but interesting. Not sorry we saw it but would not tell others to go unless they are Irish.

A good time was had by all. This is the very best of Irish theatre with notes of humour and sorrow expertly interwoven with the music, song, and dance that aligns to the very beating of our hearts as we come to know the story of a hero who was a...continued

Music and Chicago and Irish history. The audience really enjoyed this musical about a Chicago police chief in an Irish bar named for him.

Had a enjoyable evening here, with dinner before in the bar area. The show is in the lovely dining room of Chief O'Neill's, with rows of chairs replacing the tables. A 4 piece band, dancer, and singers tell the story of Chief O'Neill and his work...continued

What a fabulous play about a memorable Irishman in Chicago history.....having just returned from my very first trip to Ireland and into "all things Irish", this was a very personally touching story of how the music of the country was first written...continued

Very sweet tale of the history of Chief O'Neill and his attempt to save the old Irish tunes in America. Well conceived and performed.

Love the idea of presenting the continuing influence of Irish music; for, by and about people filled with challenge and a passion for life. It was also very nice to sit and hear the session afterward in which child to adult celebrated joy through...continued

Based on historical facts about a real Irish immigrant who helped guide Chicago through the tumult of changing after the Great Fire to the burly City of Big Shoulders. There are no curtains, there is only one exit, and scene shifting is done...continued

Well--I really enjoyed it; I learned a lot and the voices and story were sweet. There is some room for improvement, however. The show was short (40 minutes). The mustaches were silly. And we couldn't see the feet of the Irish dancer.
The...continued

I enjoyed it. Interesting concept, good performances, but it never got as lively as I expected (and would have liked).

Chief O'Neill's Pub was a nice venue, and while I wouldn't see another performance, I'll probably head back there for a...continued

Interesting idea, but I found myself getting bored. I'd expected more lively music, more dancing. The music they played between or during each scene, while performed by a talented quartet, tended to be somber, and that mixed with the slow-paced...continued

It was funny, light and told a great story. We loved the music and the dancer was not only a fantastic tapper (James Cagney style ) but handsome with a twinkle in his eye. The 6 of us stayed for dinner which everyone enjoyed what they ordered (...continued
