This production of The Rainmaker is a remarkable achievement for small theater. It is so darned good it should run for months.

Superb casting, acting, direction, story line. I expected passable and got standing ovation material. Also, so nice to have real food on stage. Drinking real coffee not air. Also, unusual touch--they cooked bacon and eggs on stage. Made it more...continued

The theater is intimate and simply adorable. The set looked great and there's not a bad seat in the house. The play had 7 characters. 2 were really good. 3 were passable. 2 were really awful. What can I say? The acting was just uneven and...continued

Touching and amazing play. Loved every moment of it. Tears welled up in the end. Actors just smoked it - to standing ovation. See this if you get a chance. Intimate theaters (like this) provide you a raw and immediate experience. A play like this...continued

Great story. Even better acting. Intense drama with comedic streaks. Interesting to know the Shelton family involvement and their extensive acting history. I'll definitely return to the Shelton Theater to see more of their work.

This is an ambitious play for a small theater. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Both the actors and the set displayed the right amount of seediness for the story. It was an engaging performance.

This is of course a classic play with some very funny lines. Set design was nicely done. Matt Shelton as Starbuck was good, as was Amanda Gerard-Shelton as Lizzie. But acting overall was inconsistent which detracted from the enjoyment of the play...continued

Totally enjoyed this sweet little production. Ok, some of the acting was uneven, couldn't hear file, Noah could have nuanced his anger, but I was pulled in and moved.
