This is a lovely story that highlights the tradegies of war without any political commentary. (Set during WWI) The puppetry is so sophisticated and well done and the movement so nicely choreographed that it is a satisfying and engaging evening. ...continued

1-trick pony (scuse the pun.). Show is all about puppetry (which is amazing) and wears thin after 10 minutes. There is no development of characters. Nothing to pull it together . Ragged; disjointed.

I don't know how this show won a Tony award. It was terrible. The production was amazing, the staging was innovative and the puppetry was very cool. But after about 10 minutes, a play really needs a story and dialogue to carry it, which was sadly...continued

The level of creativity and invention was outstanding. The acting excellent. The acoustics were perfect. Having seen the movie, I had been somewhat apprehensive about liking this production, especially since I'd heard so many rave reviews about...continued

This is an event that can be intense and emtionally stirring. The creation of the horses and the use of props was amazing!

This production, while very interesting, lacked the essential quality I look for in live theatre, the connection to the audience. The only "connection" in is to the puppet horses who had real, fully developed characters, and expressed themselves...continued

my friend and i left at intermission. even though i love puppetry, it cannot be the center of a large stage production. acting was terrible, there was no depth or emotional impact in the story or the characters. there was so much that could...continued

War Horse was an O>K> play. It was boring after the intermission and over all , the people who led the horse did a great job but I would not recommend the play.
The seats were not that great either.

Amazing how they did the special effects for this show. It is very vivid and very realistic portrayal of war. So while it is not the most upbeat story, it is definitely one of perserverance and loyalty.

I would have given this 5 stars but the accents were a bit off and as a Brit I found it a bit distracting. That being said the puppets were incredible and the story heartbreaking.

Absolutely fantastic! This play is on par with Disney's Lion King. Kept me entertained throughout the entire performance.

The puppets were spectacular, but I didn't like the show. The regional British accents were difficult to understand. The stage lighting was very subdued which interfered with visibility. Also thought the depiction of war was overdone.

Fantastic staging and the "puppetry" is magic -- you forget that the horses aren't real!

First part (up to intermission) did not capture my imagination. Staging was gray and boring. Characters were flat. Horses were fab, but story line did not move anywhere. Music was minimal (I thought this was a musical version fo the story) and...continued

This was a terrific production, an all-round success. The almost complete lack of conventional stage props was more than replaced by projected scenery and events, puppets ( not only horses, but geese, vultures and songbirds), and at one point an...continued

great performance; and even though we were sitting last row, first tier, we got the picture and fell in love with the horses.

The show was quite realistic and well acted especially the horses involved as I actually thought they were real for a short time, and the war scenes were well done for a stage play and at times I thought I was in the war with them. I thoroughly...continued
