A great production of this terrific play. The casting was a work of genius. Each and every actor gave a sterling performance, striking just the right note with each word, phrase, attitude, and demeanor. It was beautifully and authentically...continued

Much too long, drawn out, tedious. Not a classic Wilson play. Well acted though.

The acting was outstanding. Our only complaint was that the play seemed to drag a bit and should have moved along faster. It lasted 3 hours including one intermission.

The play itself is pure poetry, and this will likely iron out to a fine production. The cast is quite strong, though at our preview performance two or three actors struggled to remember lines in places. Once this is fixed, they'll all be very...continued

Excellent cast does great job with difficult play. Scene where Citizen gets his soul washed by visiting the City of Bones is unique and powerful. A great night at the theater

I didn't care for the play itself and thought many of August Wilson's other plays are far better. The acting was as usual superb! The setting and costumes were great!

This play was amazing!! So beautifully staged and acted. I was blown away by the performance. The theater is just so small enough so that any seat is pretty good, and the close proximity to the actors makes the play - August Wilson! - so powerful!

Overall, I enjoyed it; although a bit long. The first act moved too slow; second act picked up considerably and definitely more interesting. But, August Wilson is (was) a wonderful story teller and his words are beautiful. A voice that is sorely...continued

Great event, great theatre company! We were seated a bit too close to the stage - front row stage right -but we're able to move back two rows.

While this was one of August Wilson's later works, it is really the beginning of his series about his life, or the life of his family. It is a rather long production, and sometimes difficult to follow the action. The acting was superb,...continued
