I bought 14 tickets for this concert and went with a group of friend. The concert was stellar! Mendelssohn was inspired when he wrote this piece shortly before his death and the execution of it by the Washington Chorus and soloists was...continued

The power of more than 100 people on the stage singing and playing instruments so superbly, was awesome. The work was powerful and the performance was flawless.

This concert was beautifully staged and performed. The Washington Chorus did a splendid job and a children's' choir performed the part of the angels from the balcony. We particularly enjoyed the two hour discussion that the conductor and soloist...continued

I am an oratorio newbie and found the production very powerful, thrilling, and beautiful. It is long but was superbly done.

The entire performance was marvelous. Washington Chorus totally overwhelming; perfection in all things, even on their "moves", sitting and standing in unison. Soloists all lovely. A wonderful piece of music, beautifully done.

The Waashington Chorus, its orchestra and the guest soloists all combined beautifully to produce a memorable production of Mendelsohn's Elijah. However, the Kennedy Center's lighting specialists overdid the use of colored lighting that bathed the...continued

I would give this a 5 except it is a very long oratorio and I thought the first half was rather dreary. Stephen Salters was magnificent. Loved the boys choir.
