Good acting, singing, music and an intimate theater experience all add to the enjoyability of this drama. I compared it to how the story was told in "Rent" and my friend saw parallels with the movie "Dead Poets Society" so if you'd like a...continued

Adult subject matter. Fine performances by both the actors and the musicians.

This show was amazing. The cast was brilliant, the setting was intimate, the choreography was spot on. I had a great night out.

The performers were really excellent--every one, but the story is sad. It is set in the past, but will make you think about unfortunate parallels to our own times. Just don't expect to be humming a happy tune when you leave the theater.

I absolutely loved this show. I knew the music but had never seen the show before. The choreography was great as well. If I had to be critical, I would say that the one thing I was disappointed in was the moment that the lead character realizes...continued

It was nice to see this show in such an intimate setting. However, the sound system wasn't the greatest. Actors weren't miked very well either. Performances were largely uneven. The male lead was the weakest (terrible singing and lousy...continued

I have been a patron of the Mc Coy Rigby theater for many years. I applaud them for creating such a unique and intimate theater experience with this new staging of "Spring Awakening". The show was amazing in every way. The young cast brought all...continued

Disappointing Experience!

I'm a big fan of Spring Awakening and have seen several performances of this musical from Goldstar. Overall, this performance is below average. Singing was fine (with the exception of Austin Macphee who was awful as...continued

Had it not been for Goldstar, we would never have gone deep into Orange County to La Mirada, about an hour from where we live, to see this wonderful production. A talented young cast, an imaginative setting, a provocative play/rock musical--what...continued

Superb! I hated the show on Broadway because the storytelling was lost due to many directorial "stamps" of genius. This production kept the novelty without the distractions - all choices came from character rather than the need to show us the...continued

My friend and I wanted to like this one so much more as it's a great musical w/ powerful rock songs and should of had more 'boom' to it, however the lead male role was so weak and did not show much emotion, project his voice or have a strong...continued

The cast, choreography and music were excellent. This performance of Spring Awakening could rate with the large off Broadway productions for sure. This was my daughters fourth time seeing it in different productions and this one was in her top...continued

My wife and have seen both 1st & 2nd National Tours of Spring Awakening 4 times. La Mirada's cast did not disappoint. We loved the on stage intimacy of this performance. Director Brian Kite and staff nailed this production.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this production was. I bought the cheaper seats off to the side of the stage, so there were some scenes that were a tad bit harder to see, but that didn't ruin the overall experience. Some great acting, some...continued

AMAZING! I loved it so much I wish it came with a soundtrack or DVD of the performance so I could relive it. The actors were so young I was surprised at how much talent they had. Wonderfully choreographed. There was a little bit of nudity (butt),...continued

I am by no means a fan of musicals but this was absolutely wonderful. Great arrangement, the music helped underscore the very strong story and give it a modern touch (although the core messages are quite applicable to modern times anyways). The...continued
