A spectacular program. One of the most theillinginterpretations of Rite of Spring I have ever seen.

Mixed bag. Dancing excellent throughout. No question there. "Guide to Strange Places" -- was great and who would not love John Adams. "Beaux" -- was (or should I say "were) not. Enjoy a cocktail during this one. "The Rite of Spring" was...continued

I received great seats and was in awe with the grandeur and beauty of the ballet and the beautiful War Memorial Auditorium!

The new Choreography of The Rite of Spring (world premiere) was FANTASTIC ! Modern ballet with influences from modern dance, a must see if you like modern ballet. The other two presentations were good as well, particularly Strange Places.

For some reason I fell asleep during "Guide . . . " and "Beaux." Something about the movement and music, and uncomfortable seats. "The Rite . . ." I found interesting, but slightly juvenile and obvious. The choreography seemed closer to modern...continued

If you're a fan of the music and of modern dance, do not miss this performance. The audacious, sensual choreography for "The Rite of Spring" had the audience gasping in amazement--among other emotions, no doubt.

It may sound like an...continued

I loved this dance. I have always loved the music, and I am awed at the creative genius of the choreography, the staging, and the dancing. One of the best I've ever seen.

SFB dancers are the best! What an attractive company.
Ashley Page's ballet was fabulous.

The program was musically a bit "harsh" for my taste, but I still enjoyed it due to the terrific quality of dancers we have @ SFB. The "Beaux" was typically delightful Mark Morris, and Yuri's "Rite of Spring" was a great showcase for the many...continued

Dance # 1 - totally uninspiring. Much too long & repetitive
Dance # 2 - Beaux: best of the evening. Visual and talent of dancers
(all male) very impressive
Dance # 3 - Rite of Spring - too far out there. I couldn't wait...continued

Guide to Strange Places: Not my personal preference in theme, style or music, but excellently danced.

Beaux: Great dancing and music, not my personal preference in theme, but likely so for others.

Rite of Spring: (This piece is what I went...continued

I attend a lot of the SFB performances, and this one is at the bottom of the scale for me. Helgi usually mixes the modern pieces with the classical in any given program, but this program is all modern, with the music in each piece being the...continued

SF Ballet is an amazing company and to get Grand Tier Premium tickets at 1/2 price just added to the bonus of being able to see this amazing company in the good seats! All three dances were amazing. Bravo!

After having been to the Nijinsky ballet a few weeks earlier, maybe this is the reason that I had an accepting, but cool, response to Program 3. The ballets were good, but they did not move me as did Nijinsky. It was an acceptable program but...continued

Especially loved Rite of Spring and Guide to Strange Places (especially the dancers in green and fluidity of the male). Music was interesting in Beaux, dancing o.k.

Pathetic. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the dancing, choreography, costumes and set design. The dancers' feet barely left the ground. The majority of the positions were awkward/ugly. It was my first time at the SF Ballet, and...continued

Wonderful performances. Best Rite of Spring I have ever seen. Totally engrossing, both comical and sensual, the performance wrung every nuance out of the complex Stravinsky composition. I still have it wringing in my ears, calling up the wonderful...continued

Got a great seat at the rear orchestra, my favorite place to sit. Wanted to see Rite of Spring, had seen the other two last year. Rite of Spring is great!! love anything that Yuri Possokhov choreographs! the highlight of the evening.
