The actors were very good, especially Julius Ahn, who played the main character. However, at times it was difficult to hear his voice clearly and some of the the story lines were confusing to follow. Rather than have Mandarin subtitles...continued

Perfectly dreadful! All four of us hated this play.

not very engaging, boring although the lead actor was excellent

while it attempts to add something to one man's immigrant experience at times I felt it was trivializing it.

A very fresh, interesting, and beautifully done show. Cast was great, set design also great, and main character in general performed heroically, singing throughout almost the whole show. Theme and plot also great. Had a few points where the...continued

Charming but not overwhelmingly so. The central character was done beautifully by Mr. Ahn, apparently a trained opera singer who handled the sing-song music easily.

Unique and entertaining! Well done. Better than expected. Guang has a wonderful operatic voice.

Except for Ming the voices were mediocre at most, the music quite dreadful -- elevator music? Neither the desperation of being stuck in an elevator for such a long time nor the desperate situation of undocumented immigrants was communicated well.

Interesting concept and story line, but I didn't
really find the musical numbers all that enjoyable
or memorable.I found the overall presentation
somewhat chacotic. Even without a intermission, the
play seemed slightly on the long side.

It gave me a very real feeling. Felt sorry for the man stuck in the elevator.

I wanted to like this play. I certainly agree with its politics. The performances were good but I thought the music and lyrics needed a lot of work. Even a short 75 minutes seemed long.

Great seat......except for the whole rows and rows of little old ladies that are not there to watch the theatre, rattle their plastic water bottles and talk REALLY loud (because they can't hear themselves......) otherwise the performance is...continued

It's not good for a musical/opera to have bad music and lyrics. Not "bad" in the sense that we didn't like them, but bad in that the quality was poor. Let's put it this way: the rap numbers were the best, and we don't generally like rap. The...continued

I was a little worried going in as to how they were going to pull off a musical based in an elevator but I was pleasantly surprised. It was visually interesting from the projected images behind the elevator to the activity on stage. Besides the...continued

It was a very difficult play to watch, in view of the subject matter and the fact it was based on a true story, and very timely considering the immigration issues. The main performer's voice was beautiful and haunting. It's not easy to play that...continued

Performers/actors/singers were very good, but I felt no empathy with any of the the play's characters as I would have if they had been better developed or more than 1-dimensional.
Given the subject matter, this musical should have inspired...continued

Really interesting premise and then to put it in musical form...It is sad to think what this man endured because he was an illegal. This play definitely had us talking for a long time afterwards...
