It is a wonderful performance, by an excellent cast, of an extremely well thought-out intellectual play.

It's a masterpiece alright, of inane rubbish. Left at intermission. First time I've done that in over 30 years of going to the theatre.

My 15 year old daughter's name is Arcadia so we both had to read the play. We were captivated by the dual story lines. There was some confusion over some of the elements when we read the play but watching it made the story lines clearer to us. We...continued

Oh dear, what a shame, one of the lead performers in Arcadia's saturday matinee was taken ill shortly into the production and the audience was left sitting with the curtain down for a very long time. An understudy finally arrived and did his best...continued

Stoppard for me is always a wonderful experience. Arcadia is no exception. It did feel a bit long but I would be hard pressed to identify what could be eliminated. The seats at the Geary often have little leg room and width of seat. This is a...continued

Talk and talk, undefined characters, almost incomprehensible. Left at the break.

The play is very wordy and done well. Those that are word-oriented love it. Those that are more action oriented do not. Thus one rating doesn't give the picture.

The play was very good, but did move a little slow. I think a mid-day show would be better as I couldn't help but feel tired through the almost 3-hour evening show. But it was entertaining and my English boyfriend loved it.

The seats are uncomfortable at A.C.T. but the theater is usually good. Not so this time. I was bored to tears.

This is a great play that I saw 18 years ago when it first came to ACT. I didn't remember much about it other than it was very enjoyable, so I took my wife to see it this past weekend. It was better than I remembered and the acting was top-notch.

Unlike some other posts, we were in the balcony and had no problem hearing or seeing. Despite that, the seats did start to feel uncomfortable since the play is 3 hours long (with one intermission after about 1 hr 45 mins). I did enjoy the play...continued

Very mixed feelings about this production. It's a terrific show, very well done, with a huge exception - understudy in a major role who obviously didn't know his part (he called for his line 7-8 times, plus obviously slurred many other lines). ...continued

We had great seats in the orchestra in the surprisingly intimate Geary Theater. We had seen this play in Ashland in the 90s and really enjoyed this version as well. Tom Stoppard is always good so this was fun for all three of us. We drove in and...continued

Wonderful lighting & beautiful set design. Costumes too. Excellent fast pacing by the director and delivery by the cast. Is Hannah's line about Chloe, aged 18, being 'old enough to vote on her back' witty? Else, love the play:entropy, recursion,...continued
